NONECO reminds the public to avoid installing solar lights, street lights, antennas, or any metal structures near primary power lines.

Improper installation and insufficient clearance from electrical lines may result in accidental contact with energized wires, which can cause electrocution, fire incidents, equipment damage, and unscheduled power interruptions affecting nearby communities.

For everyone’s safety, always observe proper distance from power lines and consult qualified electricians or coordinate with NONECO before installing any structure near electrical facilities.

Barangay IV Weekly Kalinisan & Road Clearing Operation
πŸ“ Montinola Street
πŸ—“οΈ May 16, 2026
⏰ 6:00–8:00 AM

Barangay IV successfully conducted its Weekly Kalinisan and Road Clearing Operation as part of our continued commitment to a cleaner, safer, and more disciplined community.

This initiative aims to raise awareness among residents and nearby barangays that we are serious in implementing the City Ordinance on proper waste management. We remind everyone that necessary sanctions will be imposed on violators, especially in areas like Montinola Street and Quezon Street where improper garbage disposal has been observed.

We commend our dedicated Barangay Kagawads for leading by example: Hon. Danilo B. Rizalde (Chairman, Committee on Environment), Hon. Jessalyn Fronda, Hon. Francisca Ignacio, Hon. Rowena Sorbito, and Hon. Joseph Kerwin J. Ledesma together with BHW's , Tanods and Workers for actively supporting the implementation of the Resolution on Mandatory Segregation of Waste at Source.

We also appreciate the active participation of our PWDs, Senior Citizens, LGBTQ+ community, and Youth, showing that everyone plays a vital role in this cause.

πŸ“’ We call on all residents of Montinola Street and Quezon Street to cooperate and take responsibility in keeping our barangay clean and orderly.

Let us work together for a cleaner and more beautiful Barangay IV!

STOP THE BURNING: FOR A SMOKE-FREE VICTORIAS CITY

The Victorias City Government and VCENRO remind all residents that burning leaves, plastic, and waste is illegal and dangerous.

Under RA 9003 and RA 8749, open burning is strictly prohibited to protect our environment and public health. Burning waste causes severe air pollution and triggers respiratory issues like asthma, especially in children and the elderly. Violators face heavy penalties, including fines from Php2,000 to Php100,000 and imprisonment for up to 6 years.

To address this, VCENRO is working directly with Barangay officials and the City Information Office to monitor violations and educate the community.

Let’s do our part today for a cleaner, healthier, and safer Victorias tomorrow.
