The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Laguna successfully conducted the webinar titled “Genuine o Peke? Know Your Money, Know the Difference!” to raise awareness on the proper identification of genuine and counterfeit money.

The activity provided participants with valuable information on the security features of Philippine banknotes and coins, including practical ways to distinguish authentic currency from counterfeit ones during daily transactions.

The webinar became more meaningful through the insightful discussions shared by the resource speakers from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Lucena Branch: Ma. Victorina T. Ledesma, Bank Officer II; Wilbur P. Leonen, Jr., Currency Operations Specialist; and Nathaniel Ephraim V. Miralles, Currency Assistant II. Their expertise helped participants better understand the importance of being observant and responsible when handling cash transactions.
