DSWD Region VIII personnel successfully conducted the release of Cash Assistance Relief for tricycle drivers (Second Batch) in the Municipality of Victoria, Northern Samar, under the leadership and support of Municipal Mayor Hon. Joey U. Ardales, in coordination with the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) and the Municipal Cooperative Development Office (MCDO).
The activity was facilitated with the assistance and support of Ms. Amihan Liza D. Jacobe, MSWDO, together with the Cooperatives Development Specialist I / CSO Desk Officer-Designate, Mr. Richard Paglinawan, ensuring the orderly and smooth distribution of financial assistance to qualified beneficiaries.
The Municipal Government of Victoria extends its gratitude to DSWD Region VIII, the MSWDO, and all partner stakeholders for their continued support to the transport sector and affected community members.

A colorful and meaningful celebration unfolded as the Municipality of Victoria marked its 58th Founding Anniversary through a vibrant Grand Parade showcasing unity, culture, and community pride. 💙

The event was actively participated by LGU Officials and Employees headed by the Hon. Joey U. Ardales, Municipal Mayor, the Barangays, Schools, Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), TODA groups, and various National Government Agencies (NGAs) such as the Department of Education (DepEd), and many others, all coming together in a display of solidarity and shared celebration.

Adding rhythm and excitement to the occasion was the exhibition performance of Drum and Lyre Corps from different schools, showcasing discipline, talent, and musical excellence. Their synchronized movements and energetic performances brought life and color to the streets, highlighting the creativity and youth spirit of Victoriahanon learners. 🎶🥁

This celebration reflects a strong partnership among all sectors, fostering unity and reinforcing the commitment to inclusive development and cultural pride in the Municipality of Victoria. ✨

The Coop Chamber, in partnership with CLIMBS Life and General Insurance Cooperative and the 𝗩𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗮 𝗠𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶-𝗣𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 (VMPC), conducted a courtesy visit to the Municipal Mayor of Victoria, Northern Samar, 𝗛𝗼𝗻. Joey Ardales, on March 16, 2026.

During the meeting, VMPC Chairperson Martha E. Cadano formally introduced the organizations to Mayor Ardales and the newly appointed Cooperative Development Specialist, Mr. Richard Paglinawan. Chairperson Cadano also followed up on the status of the previously approved rehabilitation project for the VMPC office roof, which is essential to the full operationalization of their office in the town proper. In response, Mayor Ardales directed CDS Paglinawan to coordinate with the Municipal Engineering Department to expedite updates and ensure progress on the project.

The meeting concluded on a positive note, with a shared commitment to revitalize and strengthen VMPC’s operations in service of its members and the broader community. Mayor Ardales expressed his support for the cooperative and signified his willingness to assist in its upcoming General Assembly and future initiatives.

The Coop Chamber was represented by Regional Affairs and Advocacy Officer Stephanie E. Espinosa, while CLIMBS Life and General Insurance was represented by Regional Sales Manager Rosemarie Aling, OIC Sales Development Specialist Cherrylyn Caras, and General Area Manager Jodel Fernandez.

The Coop Chamber, headed by Chairperson Noel D. Raboy, is a non-stock and non-profit non-government organization registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), which is dedicated to supporting, developing, and advocating the cooperative identity and its executive and legislative agenda, fostering sustainable people-centered economic development, all for the advancement of cooperatives in the Philippines and seeks to unify the voice of the cooperative movement in advocating for a more enabling policy environment and empowerment of the sector.
