The Valenzuela Group of Local Libraries composed of Valenzuela City Library, Valenzuela City Technological College Library, SDO Valenzuela LRMS, Malanday Public Library, Tagalag Public Library, and SK Ugong Library held its 2nd coordination meeting graciously hosted by Valenzuela Technological College. We extend our sincere appreciation to the administration, staff and students of ValTech College for the warm welcome and for giving us a tour of their impressive campus facilities. ✨ The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss possible collaborative programs and activities that will further strengthen our libraries’ shared mission of promoting literacy and lifelong learning in Valenzuela. 📖📚

Nakikiisa ang ValMaSci LRC sa pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa ngayong Agosto. 📝

Sa pangunguna ng Komisyon sa Wikang Filipino, ang tema ng pagdiriwang ngayong taon ay “Paglinang sa Filipino at Katutubong Wika: Makasaysayan sa Pagkakaisa ng Bansa.” Ang pagdiriwang ay nakatugon sa Proklamasyon Blg. 1041 s. 1997 na nagpapahayag ng taunang pagdiriwang tuwing Agosto 1-31 bilang Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa, at naglalayon na maiangat ang kamalayan ng mga mamamayang Pilipino ukol sa wika at kasaysayan nito.
