The School of the Morning Star or popularly known as SMS is a Private Catholic Lay Institution for Basic Education in the growing and progressive city of Valencia, Bukidnon. Just like the city itself, SMS has also been growing steadily since 2002 in terms of prestige and academic excellence. In 2013, it began its most ambitious infrastructure projects that is geared towards expanding its holistic
educational strength by way of sports and meaningful recreational facilities not only for its students but for the whole community of this growing city as well. First to be built was the TS Mix Multi-use Gymnasium, which can adequately accommodate sports like basketball, volleyball, badminton and table tennis. It is also quiet useful for programs like Community Days, Graduation Rites and such other school activities that demands comfort and convenience for audiences and participants, which are easily achieved with the use of its own state-of-the-art Sound System and its High Velocity Low Speed Fan, which is very effective in conducting these programs and for cooling off the place, respectively. As if that is not enough, the whole TS Mix Complex also boast of 2 food outlets, a massage spa, a crossfit gym that also offers Karate trainings and popular games such as wall-rock climbing, fuss ball, air hockey, billiards, darts that are also open to the public for enjoyment. The latest addition to SMS is, of course, the SMS Aqua Center. Just like the TS Mix Complex, it is also envisioned to be a sports and recreational facility for the SMS Community in particular and for the entire city in general without necessarily sacrificing the utmost safety and convenience of its students. This facility includes a 25-meter Sports Pool with 4 swimming lanes and a kidney-shaped Kiddie Pool. It will have its own food outlet and it can cater to small pool parties and, most importantly, it offers swimming lessons for competition and recreation. It is noteworthy to mention that SMS Aqua Center is the first of its kind in Valencia City and it is the closest swimming pool facility to the city proper.
