To further strengthen irrigation services and advance sustainable agricultural development in Bukidnon, the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) Regional Office 10 conducted a series of inspection of ongoing infrastructure projects under NIA Bukidnon IMO on February 12, 2026.
Leading the inspection were Engr. Benitez K. Derogongan, Acting Regional Manager of NIA Region X, together with Engr. Pol Pablito P. Gamotin, Acting Division Manager of the Engineering and Operations Division; Engr. Armando E. Arizala, Division Manager A of NIA Bukidnon IMO; and Engr. Alfie L. Yazar, Engineering Section Head of NIA Bukidnon IMO.
The activity forms part of NIAโs continuing efforts to ensure that irrigation infrastructure projects are implemented according to design standards and timelines, supporting the agencyโs mission of providing reliable and sustainable irrigation systems that help improve farm productivity and uplift the lives of Filipino farmers.

Projects Inspected:
1. Construction of 15 HP Solar-Powered Pump at Pulangui RIS (Sto. Niรฑo Area), Malaybalay City, Bukidnon
2. Construction of Protection D**e at Nabag-o Dam (upstream/downstream sections including proposed road alignment) of Pulangui RIS, Valencia City, Bukidnon
3. Construction of Sabo Dam 5 at Nabalantungan River, Dagumbaan, Maramag, Bukidnon
(Pulangui RSCIP โ Phase 1, Package A)
4. Construction of Irrigation and Diversion Dam at Brgy. Panalsalan, including service road and channels of Sabo Dam 5 and groundsill at Brgy. Bagong Silang along Nabalantungan River, Maramag, Bukidnon
(Pulangui RSCIP โ Phase 1, Package B)
Through these inspections, NIA ensures that vital irrigation and flood mitigation structuresโsuch as solar-powered pumping systems, protection dikes, sabo dams, and diversion facilitiesโare built to safeguard irrigation assets, enhance water delivery, and improve resilience in farming communities.
