In line with the strengthened anti-illegal drug initiatives of City Mayor Amie G. Galario and City Vice Mayor Greizl Galario-Fernandez, the Anti-Illegal Drugs and Substance Abuse Division (AIDSAD), represented by Ms. Stefani Hufana, LPT, attended the Stakeholdersโ Forum for Strategic and Sustainable Anti-Illegal Drugs Advocacy held at the Provincial Agriculture Office Training Center, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon.
The forum featured discussions on key issues and strategies in addressing illegal drugs through the Buhay Ingatan, Drogaโy Ayawan (BIDA) Program. Topics included the overview and updates of the BIDA Program and current issues and concerns of the youth in the drug situation in the Province of Bukidnon, presented by Frances Clare L. Alamban, Program Manager, DILG Bukidnon. It also covered aligning youth advocacy with local development plans by Dr. Richard Ian Mark T. Necosia, CPAG, BukSU, and strategic planning for sustainable BIDA initiatives by Mark Lyster Semortin, CPAG, BukSU. Further, Dr. Wilfred A. Martinez, CPAG, BukSU, discussed consolidating actions into policy-relevant outputs.
The forum concluded with an open forum and dialogue to strengthen collaboration among stakeholders, followed by a workshop on commitment building and action planning.
