The City Peace and Order Council (CPOC) and the City Anti-Drug Abuse Council (CADAC) held a joint meeting at Jocel’s Garden Suites and Venue, Poblacion, Valencia City, Bukidnon. The meeting was presided over by Atty. Francesco Manuel Valdez and attended by City Local Government Operations Officer Mr. Jan Eric L. Manasan, MGA, of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG); PLTCOL Hope Mark L. Orbuda of the Philippine National Police (PNP); Councilor Rolando Centillas, Chairperson of the Committee on Peace and Order; and Atty. Heinz Guderian Villanueva of the City Administrator’s Office.

The activity was actively participated in by members of both councils, including Punong Barangays (PBs), partner agencies, and representatives from various non-government organizations (NGOs) and people’s organizations (POs). The joint meeting provided an opportunity for concerned offices and partner agencies to present their accomplishment reports and updates on programs, projects, and activities concerning peace and order, public safety, and the campaign against illegal drugs.

The meeting also served as a platform to strengthen coordination, collaboration, and information-sharing among local government offices, law enforcement agencies, barangays, and community partners. Through these collective efforts, the CPOC and CADAC continue to work toward promoting peaceful, safe, and drug-free communities in Valencia City.

In line with the strengthened anti-illegal drug initiatives of City Mayor Hon. Amie G. Galario and City Vice Mayor Hon. Greizl Galario-Fernandez, the Anti-Illegal Drugs and Substance Abuse Division (AIDSAD), headed by Mr. Giovanni C. Asis, in partnership with the Department of Health Treatment and Rehabilitation Center (DOH-TRC), represented by Mr. Charles Ethon Magbujos and Ms. Nieuyen U. Yee, conducted another session of the Outpatient Program for CBDRP completers who experienced relapse under the Continuing Care Program.

This activity provides continued support, guidance, and assistance to CBDRP completers as they work toward maintaining their recovery and preventing relapse. Through these sessions, participants are encouraged to strengthen their coping skills, improve their overall well-being, and rebuild positive relationships with their families and the community.

This continuing support reflects the commitment of the City Government of Valencia and its partner agencies to help individuals sustain their recovery and achieve meaningful reintegration into their families and the community.

The Anti-Illegal Drugs and Substance Abuse Division (AIDSAD), headed by Mr. Giovanni C. Asis, in collaboration with the Sobering Our Barangay Empowering Recovery Intervention Team (SOBER-IT), led by Program Director Mr. Alan Saab, conducted the 18th session of the Community-Based Drug Rehabilitation Program (CBDRP) at Barangay Bagontaas, Valencia City, Bukidnon. The session also included a drug testing activity as part of the program’s continuing monitoring and support for the participants.

The program was made possible through the support of Punong Barangay Hon. Alex L. Madarang. Through this initiative, participants are provided with guidance, support, and meaningful activities that promote recovery, strengthen their commitment to change, and encourage them to lead healthier and drug-free lives.

This initiative forms part of the City Government’s strengthened campaign against illegal drugs under the leadership of City Mayor Hon. Amie G. Galario and City Vice Mayor Hon. Greizl Galario-Fernandez. It reflects the City Government’s continued commitment to promoting safer, healthier, and drug-free communities for all Valencianos.

The 6th session of the Community-Based Drug Rehabilitation Program (CBDRP) for Plea Bargain Cases under Republic Act No. 9165 was successfully conducted, featuring a Multi-Family Therapy session that focused on strengthening family relationships, fostering open communication, and encouraging families to actively support participants throughout their recovery and rehabilitation journey. The session highlighted the vital role of family support in sustaining positive changes and promoting successful reintegration into the community.

126TH PHILIPPINE CIVIL SERVICE ANNIVERSARY

The Anti-Illegal Drugs and Substance Abuse Division (AIDSAD), headed by Mr. Giovanni C. Asis, actively participated in the opening celebration of the 126th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary of the City Government of Valencia.

The celebration recognizes 126 years of dedicated public service and commitment to the Filipino people, guided by this year’s theme: β€œBawat Kawani, Lingkod Bayani: Puso, Dangal, at Galing Para sa Bayan.”

The occasion highlights the invaluable contributions of government employees in promoting responsive, efficient, and dedicated public service.
