The Department of Social Welfare and Development and LGU-Valencia successfully conducted the Orientation cm Turn Over Ceremony of the Communication Devices in barangay Canmanico, Valencia, Bohol with their Sub-Project title DISASTER RESPONSE THROUGH THE SUPPORT OF IEC ACTIVITIES WITH PROVISION OF COMMUNICATION AND PUBLIC ADDRESS DEVICES AT BARANGAY CANMANICO through the joint efforts and collaborations of the LGU-Valencia headed by our supportive Local Chief Executive Hon. Dionisio Neil A. Balite, our active Community Volunters headed by our BDC-TWG chairperson Mrs. Belinda U. Del Bando, Barangay Officials headed by our active Punong Barangay Hon. Ireneo P. Gamus with the facilitation, assistance and guidance of the Area and Municipal Coordinating Team (ACT & MCT) of KALAHI-CIDSS:NCDDP-AF staff headed by our Area Coordinator, Mr. Alejandre Z. Antojado.
We would like to say thank you for the special participation of our MDRRM Officer, Mr. Gibson Sumayo and the owner of G7 and AC Trading, Engr. Raymund Castro for sharing their valuable time and knowledge to the participants as our speaker for the said orientation. And also, thank you to our Mayor's Representation, Mr. Nathaniel Marante for sending Mayor Neil's message to us, and for your presence and assistance during the ceremony.
KALAHI-CIDSS Program otherwise known as the Kapit-Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan-Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services is one of the poverty alleviation programs of the Philippine Government being implemented by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). It uses the Community-Driven Development (CDD) approach, a globally recognized strategy for achieving service delivery, poverty reduction, and good governance outcomes.
The development objective of Kalahi-CIDSS is to have barangays/communities of targeted municipalities become empowered to achieve improved access to services and to participate in more inclusive local planning, budgeting, and implementation.
