GFPS 3rd Regular Quarterly Meeting

The Gender and Development Focal Point System (GFPS) 3rd Regular Quarterly Meeting was successfully held at the City Mayor’s Office Conference Room on August 19, 2026, with the participation of dedicated GFPS members and partner representatives.

The meeting focused on the presentation of the GAD Budget Utilization and the Status Report on the Implementation of GAD Programs, Projects, and Activities (PPAs) covering the period from January to June 2026. Discussions also included the revision and resubmission of the CY 2027 GAD Plan and Budget to ensure alignment with prescribed guidelines and planning requirements.

As part of the meeting, Sir Ted Pabiona, IT Developer of the GPBMS, presented an overview of the GAD Plan and Budget Monitoring System (GPBMS). The presentation introduced the system’s features and functionality, highlighting its role in improving the monitoring, tracking, documentation, and management of GAD plans, budgets, and PPAs.

The meeting provided an important venue for the GFPS members and partner offices to discuss updates, address concerns, strengthen coordination, and ensure the effective implementation and monitoring of the City Government’s GAD programs and initiatives.

CITY OF VALENCIA, BUKIDNON – The Gender and Development Office Valencia City proudly announces that Ms. Charmaigne F. Portal has officially become a member of the Regional Pool of Gender and Development (GAD) Resource Persons (RPGRP) Batch 2 under the Regional Gender and Development Committee (RGADC) of Region X.

Her membership was formalized during the Signing of the Partnership Agreement and Awarding Ceremony held on June 11, 2026, at the Commission on Population and Development (CPD) Regional Office in Cagayan de Oro City.

As a member of the RPGRP, Ms. Portal joins a distinguished network of certified GAD practitioners and experts who provide technical assistance, capacity-building, and professional guidance on gender mainstreaming, gender-responsive planning, and GAD budgeting to local government units, national government agencies, academic institutions, and civil society organizations across Northern Mindanao.

The Valencia City GAD Office extends its heartfelt congratulations to Ms. Portal on this significant achievement and looks forward to her continued contributions in advancing inclusive, equitable, and gender-responsive development for the city and the region.
