The National Meat Inspection Service Regional Technical Operation Center 1 (NMIS RTOC 1) successfully conducted a Food Safety Seminar for Food Handlers on May 28, 2026, in Rosario, La Union.

The seminar was attended by dressers from the NMIS-accredited Poultry Dressing Plant, butchers from the Municipal Slaughterhouse, and representatives from various meat shops and supermarkets within the municipality. Also present during the activity were the local meat inspectors and LGU staff headed by Dr. Fay Baniqued, Municipal Agriculturist.

The activity aimed to strengthen participantsโ€™ knowledge on food safety, proper meat handling, sanitation, and personal hygiene to ensure the production and distribution of safe, wholesome, and quality meat products for consumers.

Through this initiative, NMIS RTOC 1 continues to promote food safety awareness and uphold public health protection within the meat industry.

Proper Meat Handling Seminar For MTV Drivers and Helpers

Ang National Meat Inspection Service Regional Technical Operation Center 1 (NMIS RTOC 1) ay matagumpay na nagsagawa ng seminar sa Proper Meat Handling Practices para sa mga Meat Transport Vehicle (MTV) Drivers and Helpers noon ika-21 ng Mayo taong 2026. Layunin ng aktibidad na mapalawak and kaalaman ng mga participants tungkol sa tamang paghawak, sanitation, personal hygiene at ligtas na pagtransport ng meat products upang maiwasan ang contamination at masiguro ang food safety para consumers.

The National Meat Inspection Service Regional Technical Operation Center 1 (NMIS RTOC 1) successfully conducted a Food Safety Seminar for Food Handlers on May 14, 2026, for the dressers and staffs of Jane Trading Chicken in Sta. Maria, Ilocos Sur.

The seminar focused on proper food handling practices, personal hygiene, sanitation, and the importance of maintaining food safety standards in poultry handling operations. Participants were reminded of their vital role in ensuring that safe and quality meat products are provided to consumers.

Through this activity, NMIS RTOC 1 continues to promote awareness and strengthen food safety practices among meat handlers in the region.

Malasiqui, Pangasinan || Matagumpay na naisagawa ng National Meat Inspection Service Regional Technical Operation Center 1 (NMIS RTOC 1) and Food Safety Seminar for Food Handlers noong May 14, 2026 para sa mga butchers, dressers, kasama ng iba pang Local Government unit (LGU) staff at employee ng Malasiqui Slaughterhouse at Poultry Dressing Plant.

|| The National Meat Inspection Service Regional Technical Operation Center 1 (NMIS RTOC 1), through the Office of the Regional Technical Director, issued Memorandum No. R1-2026-05-172 dated May 6, 2026, directing all registered Meat Transport Vehicle (MTV) operators to update and renew their LTO registration documents.

Concerned operators are required to submit updated OR/CR documents to the NMIS RTOC 1 Office in Anonas West, Urdaneta City, Pangasinan to maintain the validity of their MTV registration and ensure continuous regulatory compliance.
