PUBLIC ADVISORY

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) warns the public against fake job recruitment schemes posted on social media by individuals or groups claiming to be from the agency.

We would like to reiterate that all job vacancies of the agency are only posted on the official channels of the PSA, such as the website via www.psa.gov.ph/career, and respective pages of the PSA’s Central and Field Offices. Further, the submission and processing of job applications at the PSA is free of charge, following hiring policies and guidelines set by the Civil Service Commission.

We urge the public to refrain from engaging individuals or groups behind abovementioned schemes, and immediately report to [email protected].

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) reiterates the reliability of the National ID, regardless of the format, as a valid proof of identity for registered persons, and the ease of authentication for relying parties in the government and private institutions.

𝐏𝐔𝐁𝐋𝐈𝐂 𝐀𝐃𝐕𝐈𝐒𝐎𝐑𝐘

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) reiterates its warning to the public against individuals or groups phishing for personal information via calls or messaging apps such as WhatsApp.

These individuals, posing to be from the PSA, claim to offer assistance and ask National ID-registered individuals to access a link, share their screens, delete applications, and turn off security features of their mobile phones.

The PSA underscores that these calls are NOT from the agency. The PSA will never reach out via messaging apps such as WhatsApp to request personal information, process National ID registration, provide updating services, issue any format of the National ID, or assist in its delivery.

Further, National ID registration, updating services and issuance of National ID in paper format are provided only at National ID registration centers and mobile registration sites. The National ID card will also be delivered to the address provided during registration. On the other hand, the Digital National ID can only be accessed via the eGovPH mobile application.

We urge the public to remain vigilant against unsolicited calls or messages and to avoid sharing your personal information to individuals.

Ang eGovPH ay isang one-stop public service app developed ng DICT para sa mabilis at madaling access sa iba’t ibang online government services — at kabilang dito ang Digital National ID.

Para sa mga isyu tulad ng hindi pagtanggap ng Digital National ID at iba pang non-app related concerns, makipag-ugnayan sa kinauukulang ahensya o kinatawan na namamahala rito.

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) reiterates the acceptance of all formats of the National ID in financial transactions, in line with the issuance of Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Memorandum 2025-012.

The latest BSP Memo is issued to all BSP-Supervised Financial Institutions (BSFIs), requiring the acceptance of all formats of the National ID—card, paper, and digital—as valid and sufficient proof of identity in financial transactions. Likewise, the National ID should be prioritized and included in the list of acceptable valid IDs.
