In celebration of Women’s Month, Zumbabaihan 2026 was successfully conducted through the initiative of the Local Council of Women – Urdaneta City, bringing together women in the community to promote health, wellness, and empowerment through physical activity. The event fostered unity and camaraderie while encouraging an active and healthy lifestyle among participants.

A special Zumbabaihan session was also held with the RTC Judges on March 25, 2026, further highlighting the collective support of various sectors in advancing women-centered initiatives.

The Philippine Obstetrical and Gynecological Society – Northwestern Luzon Chapter (Pangasinan) in cooperation with the Urdaneta City Health Office successfully celebrated the 22nd National Buntis Day with the theme:

“Tradition, Roots and Innovation in Nurturing Mothers.”

The City of Urdaneta celebrated the 22nd National Buntis Day, bringing together health professionals, local officials, and mothers to promote maternal health and wellness. The event highlighted the importance of proper prenatal care, women's health awareness, and the crucial role of the first 1,000 days of a child’s life in building a healthy future. 🤰👶

The program began with an Opening Prayer by Dr. Corazon H. Cabading, followed by the Welcome Remarks from Dr. Rachel Ann A. Parayno, City Health Officer II. An Inspirational Message was delivered by Hon. Julio F. Parayno III, City Mayor.

Informative health talks were shared by distinguished medical professionals:
• Dr. Deverly Reyes & Dr. Holly Tandoc-Garcia – Comprehensive Prenatal Care: From Conception to Delivery
• Dr. Betha Fe Castillo & Dr. Mary Christine Paragas – From Prevention to Cure: Understanding Cervical Cancer
• Dr. Cynthia C. Salazar Balila – Ano ang Menopause at MHT?
•Dr. Shaina Sofia B. Andrada – First 1,000 Days of a Child’s Life

One of the highlights of the celebration was the Ms. Buntis Pageant, where expectant mothers confidently showcased their grace and strength. The activity included the Introduction of Contestants and the Introduction of the Board of Judges, composed of:

The Local Council of Women – Urdaneta City proudly led the Flag Ceremony on March 2, 2026, highlighting women’s leadership and empowerment in the community.

The program began with an opening prayer led by Engr. Caridad Manipon, followed by the Panunumpa (Oath of Allegiance) led by Dra. Rachel Ann Parayno. Mdm. Pat Del Prado delivered the Introduction of the Mayor, while the segment “Juana Malakas: Stories of Women” celebrated inspiring stories of women empowerment.

An Advocacy Video of the 4Ps Urdaneta City was also presented, featuring Rosemarie V. Pesario from Brgy. Mabanogbog, Urdaneta City, Pangasinan, who has been officially declared the Provincial Winner among the forty-one (41) Local Government Unit entries of Pangasinan.

This meaningful event showcased the strength, resilience, and achievements of women in our community. 💜
