POCTOL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL JOINS THE OBSERVANCE OF NATIONAL SAFETY WEEK 💚
October 12 - 16, 2026
A safe, inclusive, and caring school begins with a united community!
Poctol Elementary School proudly observed National Safety Week through a meaningful flag ceremony attended by the School Head, teachers, learners, parents, SPTA Officers, the Sangguniang Barangay led by Barangay Captain Hon. Cristeta V. Manalo, the Barangay Chief of Police, Barangay Health Workers (BHWs), and other valued stakeholders.
One of the highlights of the activity was the collective recitation of the “Panata para sa Ligtas, Inklusibo at Maalagang Paaralan,” reaffirming everyone’s shared commitment to creating a learning environment where every learner feels safe, respected, protected, and cared for.
During the ceremony, School Head Ma’am Ludyvil V. Saniel introduced and emphasized the importance of implementing the My Buddy System as a practical approach to strengthening school safety, peer support, and learner protection. Through this system, learners are encouraged to look after their assigned buddies, promote kindness and inclusion, report safety concerns to trusted adults, and help ensure that no learner feels alone or left behind. This initiative reinforces the importance of vigilance, cooperation, and shared responsibility in preventing bullying, addressing potential risks, and fostering positive relationships among learners.
In line with DepEd’s commitment to child protection and safe learning environments, the school recognizes that ensuring learner safety is a shared responsibility among school personnel, families, and community partners. By working together, we can build a school where every child can learn with confidence, participate without fear, and grow in an atmosphere of respect and compassion.
Safety is everyone's responsibility. Inclusion is our commitment. Care is our culture. Together, let us make Poctol Elementary School a place where every learner is safe, valued, and empowered! 🤝
