The Tuguegarao City Parole and Probation Office successfully concluded its three-day celebration of National Women’s Month 2026, highlighting the strength and leadership of women in public service. The festivities commenced on March 9, 2026, with a vibrant "Walk for Women." TCPPO personnel were joined by Volunteer Probation Assistants and interns from Cagayan State University–Carig (BS Criminology), University of Cagayan Valley (BS Criminology), and USLT (Political Science). The walk followed a route from the Hall of Justice in Carig through LRA, DENR, PSA, and PENRO, before returning to the Hall of Justice for an energetic Zumba session and an educational lecture. Led by OIC/SPPO Gabriel Angelo Sernande and Probation Officers including Sr. PPO Carmela Pagulayan, PPO2 Mary Grace Narag, PPO2 Raquel C. Cahigas, PPO1 Jessica Juan and AAIV Cris Gammad, the team distributed flowers and "love notes" to women encountered along the route—a gesture of appreciation that resonated deeply with the community. The celebration continued on March 12 and 13 at Rizal Park, where personnel and interns led the "One Billion Rising" dance movement. The final day was marked by a significant visit from DOJ-PPA Region 2 leadership. Regional Officer-in-Charge Ma. Cristina C. Vibar and OIC-Assistant Regional Director Mary Grace M. Dela Cruz—both former heads of the Tuguegarao City PPO—joined the festivities. Their presence served as a sentimental homecoming and a powerful testament to strong female leadership in today’s society.
