Look: The Coast Guard District North Eastern Luzon (CGDNELZN) marked another significant milestone with the Blessing and Inauguration of the newly constructed SINAG-LAHI Conference Room at Carig Base, Carig Sur, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan, today, October 09, 2026. The ceremony was followed by a Holy Mass officiated by Rev. Fr. Hugo Jose R Aggabao, Parish Priest, St. Joseph the Spouse of Mary Parish.

The conference room will serve as a multipurpose venue for meetings, conferences, training programs, and other official activities, strengthening institutional capabilities and fostering professional collaboration among personnel and partner agencies.

Through the Intensified Community Assistance, Awareness, Response and Enforcement (iCARE) Program, CGDNELZN continues to strengthen partnerships, promote personnel development, and enhance coordinated efforts in delivering responsive maritime safety, security, and public service to coastal communities.

The activity was headed by DAR Secretary Conrado Estrella III and aimed to facilitate the timely distribution of land ownership documents to qualified agrarian beneficiaries, while strengthening the delivery of government services to the agricultural sector.

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) likewise provided security assistance to ensure the safe, orderly, and successful conduct of the activity. The identified Drop Zone 1 is approximately 391 nautical miles from Babuyan Island, Calayan, Cagayan, and 387 nautical miles from Santa Ana, Cagayan, covering the following estimated coordinates:

Information dissemination was conducted among fisherfolks, coastal communities, and other maritime stakeholders. The public was likewise advised to avoid retrieving or approaching any suspected rocket debris and to immediately report any sightings to the nearest Philippine Coast Guard unit.

Responding personnel provided traffic assistance, secured the vehicle using recovery straps, and successfully pulled it back onto the roadway before turning it over to its owner.
