𝐊𝐢𝐜𝐤-𝐎𝐟𝐟 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 𝟏𝟖-𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐠𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐄𝐧𝐝 𝐕𝐢𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐀𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧 (𝐕𝐀𝐖𝐂)

The National Telecommunications Commission Region 2 (NTC R2) joined the nationwide observance of the 2025 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC) through a kick-off activity held on November 24, 2025 at the NTC Regional Office, Carig, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan. This annual campaign aims to strengthen advocacy efforts, raise public awareness, and reinforce the collective commitment to eliminating all forms of violence against women and children.

The activity began with the opening remarks of OIC-Regional Director, Engr. Jumar R. Cabulisan, who highlighted the importance of fostering safe, inclusive, and violence-free communities. This was followed by brief description of activities (program, discussions, IEC distribution, etc.).

Participants showed their support by wearing orange and joining a solidarity photo session, symbolizing unity with the national movement and reinforcing the call to end VAWC.

Through this initiative, NTC R2 reaffirms its dedication to gender equality, women’s empowerment, and the protection of the rights of women and children.

To conclude the activity, Engr. Joana-Marie B. Capalungan, GAD Focal Person, delivered a meaningful closing message that underscored the agency’s ongoing commitment to promoting awareness and strengthening mechanisms against gender-based violence.

NTC R2 enjoins everyone to support the 18-Day Campaign and to stand together in building a safe, just, and violence-free society for all.

The President of the Tuguegarao City Islamic Muslim Association, Inc., Tuguegarao City Chapter, Mr. Achmad Rachmadin D. Cosain; the President of the Salaam Police Advocacy Group – Cagayan Chapter, Mr. Zino Din "B**g" Esmael; and the President of the Union of Muslim Federation Northern Luzon, Mr. Fahad Usman Magumpara, paid a courtesy visit to the Office of the Regional Director, OIC-RD Engr. Jumar R. Cabulisan, PECE. The meeting focused on matters concerning their constituents who are engaged in the selling and repair of cellular phones.

𝐍𝐓𝐂 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝟐 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐬 “𝐍𝐓𝐂-𝐨𝐧-𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐞𝐥𝐬” 𝐌𝐨𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝐋𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 𝐢𝐧 𝐍𝐮𝐞𝐯𝐚 𝐕𝐢𝐳𝐜𝐚𝐲𝐚

The National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) Regional Office 02 successfully conducted its mobile licensing initiative, dubbed "NTC-on-Wheels," on July 9, 2025, at the CMP Convention Center, Provincial Capitol Compound, Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya. The event was held simultaneously with the DTI Regional MSME Summit cm Opportunities, Networking, and Empowerment (O.N.E.) DTI Service Caravan.

The program aimed to bring NTC services closer to the public by offering on-site processing of permits, licenses, and certificates. It served mobile phone dealers, retailers, service centers, radio operators, and radio station owners applying for licenses for fixed and land mobile radio stations.

Additionally, the event featured a Consumer Welfare and Protection Desk, which provided assistance and addressed public concerns regarding text scams and other telecommunication-related issues.

This initiative forms part of NTC Region 2’s ongoing efforts to improve accessibility, responsiveness, and efficiency in the delivery of telecommunications services across the region.
