Laguna de Cagayan Handicrafts Association is proud to join the Design Center of the Philippines in introducing industrial and artisanal applications of Bakong, a sustainable, and native material at the Sustainability Solutions Exchange (SSX).

For this collective design response, we worked with Design Center and Carlo Delantar on the supply of semi-processed bakong materials.

We hope you can join us as we craft and put forth a new agenda for Philippine design.

The recently discovered Bakong( Haguana malayana) plant is now on its stepping stone to be globally recognized as the Laguna de Cagayan Handicrafts Association joined the Sikat Pinoy National Arts and Crafts Fair sponsored by Senator Legarda at SM Megatrade Hall, SM Megamall, Mandaluyong City. Thanks to the unwavering support from the Local Government Unit(LGU) of Sta. Teresita, Negosyo Center Sta. Teresita and DTI-Cagayan Provincial Office.
