LGU-Gattaran, kinilala ang kontribusyon ng mga partner-beneficiaries sa PLAB Ceremonial Turnover

PROJECT LAB UPDATES | Binigyang pagkilala ng Lokal na Pamahalaan ng Gattaran, Cagayan ang mga natatanging kontribusyon ng mga partner-beneficiaries ng Project LAWA at BINHI kasabay ng isinagawang Ceremonial Turnover noong Setyembre 4, 2026.

Pinangunahan ng LGU-Gattaran ang aktibidad katuwang ang DSWD Field Office 2, Department of Agriculture (DA), Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR), at Office of the Provincial Agriculturist.

Kinilala ang Mabuhay LAWA at BINHI Anipan Association, Capissayan Sur Association, at SMD Association bilang mga “Best Project LAWA at BINHI.” Tumanggap din ang mga ito ng Best in Production Award dahil sa mataas na produksyon at kita na kanilang naitala mula nang ipatupad ang proyekto.

Samantala, iginawad naman sa Piña Weste Sitio Bayog Farmer Association ang Pillar of Unity Award bilang pagkilala sa pagkakaisa at pagtutulungan ng mga miyembro nito.

Bukod sa pagkilala sa mga natatanging project sites, naging bahagi rin ng aktibidad ang pormal na pagpapasa ng responsibilidad sa mga partner-beneficiaries para sa pagpapanatili at pagpapalago ng mga naitatag na Project LAWA at BINHI sites sa bayan.

Kasabay nito, tiniyak ng DSWD FO2 at iba pang partner agencies ang patuloy na suporta sa mga partner-beneficiaries upang makatulong sa pagpapanatili at pagpapaunlad ng mga proyekto.

Binigyang-diin ni DSWD FO2 Regional Director Lucia Suyu-Alan ang kahalagahan ng patuloy na pagtutulungan ng lokal na pamahalaan, mga partner agencies, at partner-beneficiaries upang mapanatili at lalo pang mapaunlad ang mga inisyatibang naitatag sa ilalim ng programa.

Ayon kay Dr. Bryan Sibayan ng Southern Cagayan Research Center ng DA FRO2, magpapatuloy ang pagbibigay ng technical assistance sa larangan ng agrikultura. Kabilang dito ang mga pagsasanay sa micropropagation, mushroom at livestock production, open-pollinated vegetables at seed production, pati na rin ang paggamit ng alternative at organic feeds.

Samantala, sinabi ni Provincial Fishery Officer Jennifer Tattao ng BFAR na magsasagawa ang ahensya ng techno-demonstration para sa mga project sites sa ilalim ng LAWA component. Ang mga site at partner-beneficiaries na makatutugon sa itinakdang pamantayan ay maaari ring makatanggap ng karagdagang assistance at inputs sa 2027, alinsunod sa mga guidelines ng programa at pagkakaroon ng pondo.

Magbibigay rin ang BFAR ng libreng technical assistance at mga pagsasanay upang makatulong sa pagpapaunlad ng mga kabuhayan at iba pang produktibong gawain ng mga partner-beneficiaries.

Nagpaabot din ng suporta ang Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO) ng Gattaran sa pamamagitan ni Engr. Anthony Blaine Domingo, kabilang ang technical assistance sa environmental management at organic farming upang maisulong ang mas sustainable at environment-friendly na mga gawaing pang-agrikultura sa mga project sites.

Kasama ring dumalo sa aktibidad sina DRMD OIC-Chief Mylene Attaban, Sangguniang Bayan Member Von Bryan Ong, MSWDO Marivic Leaño at kanyang mga kawani, Municipal Agriculture Office, mga opisyal ng barangay, at mga kinatawan ng iba't ibang asosasyon mula sa mga project sites.

May 500 partner-beneficiaries ang Project LAWA at BINHI sa Gattaran ngayong taon na nagtatag ng 10 project sites para sa implementasyon ng programa.

PCRP Strengthens Community-Led Municipal Resilience Planning in Santa Maria, Isabela

SANTA MARIA, Isabela- The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office 2 Trough the KALAHI-CIDSS new modality the Panahon ng Pagkilos strengthened community-led resilience planning in vulnerable communities through the Municipal Resilience Planning (MRP) held on September 2-4, 2026, in Santa Maria, Isabela.

Municipal Mayor Hon. Michael Abraham Pagauitan attended the activity and expressed his support for the said activity together with the Sangguniang Bayan Member Hon. Isaac Pagauitan also participated in the sessions, demonstrating the Local Government Unit’s commitment to the resilience planning process.

The MRP brought together key local stakeholders, including Liga ng Barangay President Hon. Sofia Pagauitan; PSWDO representative Josephine Balayan; PDRRMO representative Maureen Talosig; PPDO representative Fidel Reyes; Municipal and Regional Monitoring Officers (MDR/RMO); Barangay Resilience Team (BREST) chairpersons and other partners.

The highlights of the activity was the Municipal Resilience Planning
where stakeholders provided with a clearer understanding of the risks that may affect vulnerable areas and helped identify appropriate interventions.

The Municipal Resilience Planning reflects DSWD KALAHI-CIDSS’ community-led development approach, which recognizes the capacity of communities and local stakeholders to actively participate in identifying their needs, assessing risks, and developing appropriate solutions.

Through initiatives of the DSWD KALAHI-CIDSS Panahon ng Pagkilos modality continues to work alongside local government units and communities toward building more prepared, empowered, and resilient communities capable of responding to and recovering from various risks and challenges.

TINGNAN | Nakibahagi ang Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office 02 (DSWD FO2) sa Family Planning Day for Teen Moms and Dads and Parent-Teen Talk, na may temang “Bringing Unified Knowledge, Assistance, and Services (BUKAS) for Adolescent Parents,” sa Capitol Gymnasium, Cabarroguis, Quirino.

Isinagawa ang aktibidad ng Provincial Government of Quirino, katuwang ang Provincial Population and Development Coordinating Committee (PPDCC), upang mailapit sa mga adolescent parent ang mahahalagang impormasyon, programa, at serbisyo ng pamahalaan sa pamamagitan ng sama-samang pagkilos ng iba’t ibang ahensya.

Bilang bahagi ng pakikilahok ng DSWD FO2, itinalaga ang mga kawani ng SWAD Quirino, 4Ps, at Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) sa kani-kanilang BUKAS Passport station, kung saan tinalakay at ipinaliwanag sa mga kalahok ang mga programa, serbisyo, at oportunidad na maaaring makatulong sa kanilang pamilya at kabuhayan.

LGU Cabagan hires 10 4Ps college graduates following graduation ceremony

CABAGAN, Isabela — Ten college graduates from Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) households in Cabagan, Isabela are set to begin working with the Local Government Unit of Cabagan as Contract of Service workers (COS), following the 4Ps graduation ceremony held on August 28, 2026.

The employment is part of the commitment made by the LGU, led by Mayor Mila Albano Mamauag, to provide employment opportunities to 4Ps college graduates and support them in their transition toward self-sufficiency, in support of Regional Development Council (RDC) Resolution No. 02-64, Series of 2025, which encourages Local Government Units (LGUs) and other government instrumentalities to consider hiring qualified 4Ps beneficiaries for government internship, Job Order, or Contract of Service positions.

The 10 graduates are set to begin work on Monday, September 7, 2026, and will be deployed to various municipal offices.

One of the graduates, Elizabeth Aglipay, expressed her gratitude to the 4Ps, LGU Cabagan, and the Provincial Government of Isabela for the opportunity.

“Maraming salamat sa opportunity na makapagtrabaho at maka-give back sa community at sa pamilya namin,” Aglipay said.

The employment commitment was made in support of the 4Ps graduation in Cabagan, where 345 households were recognized after completing their journey in the program. The ceremony also recognized 15 college graduates among the graduating households.

The initiative highlights the role of local government support in helping 4Ps graduates access employment opportunities and sustain the gains they achieved through the program.

LOOK: The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office 2 (DSWD FO2) convened a meeting with the Cagayan Economic Zone Authority (CEZA) on Thursday, September 3, 2026, to discuss a possible partnership to support families under the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps).

DSWD FO 2 presented the overview of the program, profile of beneficiaries and their identified gaps based on the latest Social Welfare and Development Indicators (SWDI) assessment, which CEZA expressed willingness to help address through appropriate interventions and support.

Representing CEZA were Division Manager Ms. Grace B. Ruiz, Community Affairs III Ms. Agnes Diesto, and Senior Labor Officer Mr. Reynold Alibania.

Both agencies agreed to finalize the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) soon to formalize their partnership in supporting 4Ps beneficiary families.

DSWD FO2, patuloy ang Social Pension payout; mahigit 238,000 senior citizens na ang nabigyan

CAGAYAN VALLEY — Sa pamamagitan ng Social Pension for Indigent Senior Citizens (SPISC) program, patuloy na ipinagkakaloob ng Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office 02 (DSWD FO2) ang tulong pinansyal sa mga kwalipikadong indigent senior citizen sa Cagayan Valley.

Sa pagsisimula ng payout para sa ikatlong quarter ng 2026, umabot na sa 238,130 indigent senior citizens ang napagkalooban ng Social Pension, na may kabuuang halagang ₱714,390,000.

Para sa maraming nakatatanda, malaking tulong ang dagdag na ito sa pagtugon sa kanilang mga pangunahing pangangailangan tulad ng pagkain, gamot, at iba pang gastusin sa araw-araw.

Naihahatid ang assistance sa pamamagitan ng transfer of funds sa mga katuwang na local government unit at DSWD-managed payouts para sa mga kwalipikadong benepisyaryo.

Bagama’t marami na ang napagkalooban, patuloy pa rin ang payout para sa ikatlong quarter sa iba't ibang bahagi ng rehiyon.

Patuloy din ang pakikipag-ugnayan ng DSWD FO2 sa mga lokal na pamahalaan at iba pang katuwang upang maging maayos ang pamamahagi at matiyak na makararating ang Social Pension sa mga kwalipikadong senior citizen.

Sa pagpapatuloy ng payout, nananatiling nakatuon ang DSWD FO2 sa paglalapit ng mga serbisyo sa social protection sa mga nakatatandang higit na nangangailangan.

Ceremonial Turnover ng Project Project LAWA at BINHI, isinagawa sa Camalaniugan, Cagayan

PROJECT LAB UPDATES | Matapos ang 20 araw na pakikilahok sa Cash-for-Training/Work, nasa kamay na ngayon ng mga partner-beneficiaries ang pagpapanatili at pagpapalago ng mga project site ng Project LAWA at BINHI sa Camalaniugan, Cagayan.

Ito ang naging sentro ng isinagawang Ceremonial Turnover sa project site ng Brgy. Bantay noong September 3, 2026.

Ayon kay DSWD-DRIMS Head Virginia Magno, bahagi ng programa ang turnover upang mabigyan ng kakayahan ang mga partner-beneficiaries na sila mismo ang manguna at magpatuloy sa kanilang mga proyekto.

Nagpasalamat din siya sa LGU at mga partner agencies sa patuloy na pakikipagtulungan sa DSWD upang matiyak na magpapatuloy ang mga nasimulan sa ilalim ng Project LAWA at BINHI.

Hinikayat naman ni Municipal Mayor Isidro Cabaddu ang mga partner-beneficiaries na alagaan at ipagpatuloy ang kanilang nasimulang proyekto. Binigyang-diin niya na kailangan ang sipag at sakripisyo ng mga miyembro ng asosasyon upang mapanatili at mapalago ito.

Tiniyak ni Office of the Provincial Agriculturist Representative Romar Soriano ang patuloy na suporta ng kanilang tanggapan, katuwang ang DSWD, LGU at iba pang partner agencies, sa pamamagitan ng technical assistance at agricultural support.

Ayon kay Soriano, makatutulong ang mga natutunan ng partner-beneficiaries sa programa upang magkaroon sila ng mas matatag at pangmatagalang kabuhayan.

Nagpahayag din ng suporta si Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) Representative Zeny Usigan. Bukod sa pamamahagi ng fingerlings, sinabi niyang handa ang BFAR na magbigay ng training at technical assistance sakaling nais ng asosasyon na magdagdag ng fisheries-related livelihood sa kanilang proyekto.

Nagpasalamat naman si Bantay Project LAWA at BINHI Association President Rommel Martinez sa mga ahensya at lokal na pamahalaan na sumuporta sa kanilang asosasyon.

Tiniyak niyang ipagpapatuloy ng mga miyembro ang proyekto dahil nakikita nila ang pakinabang nito sa kanilang mga pamilya at komunidad.

Kasama rin sa aktibidad sina MSWDO Corazon Ursulum, MAO Rodel Pasaraba, at mga partner beneficiaries mula sa tatlong sites.

LOOK | The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office 2 (DSWD FO2), through the continued implementation of the Pag-abot Program, mobilized its Angels in Red Vest to conduct a series of payout activities across Cagayan, Isabela, and Nueva Vizcaya, providing qualified reach-out beneficiaries with various social protection packages, including Financial Assistance, Livelihood Assistance, Transitory Shelter Assistance, and Psychosocial Support.

The assistance aims to help beneficiaries address their immediate needs while supporting them in starting or improving their livelihoods toward self-sufficiency.

The payout activities were conducted in Iguig, Gattaran, and Peñablanca, Cagayan; Tumauini, Ilagan, Santiago, and Cauayan, Isabela; and Bambang, Bayombong, and Solano, Nueva Vizcaya.

Through these interventions, the Pag-abot Program continues to bring appropriate assistance closer to vulnerable individuals and families, helping them move toward a more stable and self-sufficient future.
