𝗗𝗢𝗟𝗘-𝗡𝗩𝗙𝗢 𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝟮𝟴𝟲 𝗺𝗶𝗰𝗿𝗼-𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀, 𝗢𝗦𝗛

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya — A total of 286 micro-establishments (MEs) in Nueva Vizcaya attended a series of Technical and Advisory Visit (TAV) and Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) orientations conducted by the Department of Labor and Employment – Nueva Vizcaya Field Office (DOLE-NVFO).

The MEs that participated in the TAV sessions held on various dates in April and May 2026 came from Kasibu, Bambang, Aritao, Bagabag, and Santa Fe.

The orientations covered General Labor Standards, workers’ rights, employer responsibilities, payment of wages and mandatory benefits, 13th month pay, overtime compensation, leave privileges, social protection coverage, basic OSH practices, and first aid orientation.

DOLE Nueva Vizcaya Field Office Head Elizabeth U. Martinez said the activity helps employers better understand their responsibilities to workers.

“Sa pamamagitan ng TAV at OSH orientations, mas napapalakas natin ang kaalaman ng mga negosyante sa tamang pagtrato at pangangalaga sa kanilang mga manggagawa,” Martinez said.
Martinez also urged employers to continue observing labor standards and workplace safety requirements.

“Ang layunin ng TAV ay gabayan ang ating mga micro-establishments upang mas mapalakas ang pagsunod sa labor laws at mapanatili ang ligtas at maayos na lugar-paggawa para sa lahat,” she added.

Santa Fe PESO Manager Jack Denver Ordonio thanked DOLE for conducting the orientation for local business owners.

“On behalf of the Local Government Unit of Santa Fe, we extend our sincere appreciation for conducting this timely orientation. Programs like this greatly help our micro-establishments become more informed, compliant, and responsible employers,” Ordonio said.

Nasa 1,691 benepisyaryo ng TUPAD Program ang katuwang sa paglilinis, pagkukumpuni, at paghahanda ng mga paaralan sa Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, at Batanes bilang suporta ng Department of Labor and Employment Region 2 sa Brigada Eskwela 2026 ng Department of Education.

Ayon kay DOLE Regional Director Jesus Elpidio B. Atal Jr., ipinapakita ng inisyatiba ang layunin ng TUPAD na makatulong hindi lamang sa mga manggagawang nangangailangan, kundi pati sa mga komunidad tulad ng mga paaralan.

“Sa pamamagitan ng TUPAD, natutulungan natin ang ating disadvantaged workers na magkaroon ng pansamantalang trabaho at kita, habang nakikibahagi rin sila sa paghahanda ng ating mga paaralan para sa ligtas at maayos na balik-eskwela ng mga mag-aaral,” saad ni Director Atal Jr.

Kabilang sa mga isinagawa at nakatakdang isagawang trabaho ang paglilinis ng paligid ng paaralan, trimming ng damo at puno, pagtatanim, pagpipintura ng mga pasilidad, paglilinis at inspeksyon ng electric wires, fixing of loose connections, at installation ng lights and switches.

Sa Cagayan, kasalukuyang ipinapatupad ang programa sa Cataggaman Viejo Elementary School at Cataggaman Nuevo Elementary School sa Tuguegarao City, kung saan 39 beneficiaries ang nakikilahok.

Sa Isabela, ipatutupad ang programa sa mga paaralan sa Cauayan City, Ilagan City, Santiago City, Sta. Maria, at Sto. Tomas.

Samantala, sa Quirino, kabilang sa mga paaralang sinusuportahan ang Diffun Central School Integrated SPED Center sa Diffun at siyam pang paaralan sa Cabarroguis.

Dagdag pa rito, 152 TUPAD beneficiaries mula sa Itbayat, Uyugan at Basco sa Batanes ang magiging bahagi rin ng Brigada Eskwela sa lalawigan upang tumulong sa paghahanda ng mga paaralan bago ang pagbubukas ng klase.

Aabot sa ₱12.6 milyon ang kabuuang halaga ng assistance para sa mga benepisyaryo na matatanggap nila pagkatapos ng kanilang 15 hanggang 20 araw na trabaho.

Bahagi ang inisyatiba ng convergence effort ng DOLE at DepEd upang suportahan ang paghahanda ng mga paaralan at matiyak ang mas maayos na balik-eskwela ng mga mag-aaral. #

|| Kasalukuyang nakikibahagi sa Brigada Eskwela ang 39 benepisyaryo ng TUPAD Program sa Cataggaman Viejo Elementary School at Cataggaman Nuevo Elementary School sa Tuguegarao City bilang bahagi ng suporta ng Department of Labor and Employment Region 2 sa paghahanda ng mga paaralan sa darating na pasukan.

Kabilang sa kanilang mga gawain ang paglilinis ng paligid ng paaralan, pagkukumpuni ng mga sirang lamesa at upuan, pagpipintura ng mga pasilidad, at iba pang paghahandang kinakailangan para sa ligtas at maayos na pagbabalik-eskwela ng mga mag-aaral.

Para kay Alice Matteo, isa sa mga benepisyaryo ng TUPAD, malaking tulong ang pansamantalang trabahong ito upang may maipambili ng school supplies ng kanyang anak. Aniya, umaasa lamang siya sa online selling, habang hindi na gaanong fit to work ang kanyang asawa matapos maoperahan sa tiyan, kaya hindi sapat ang kanilang kita para sa pang-araw-araw na pangangailangan.

Nagsimulang magtrabaho ang mga benepisyaryo noong Mayo 19 at nakatakdang matapos sa Hunyo 5.

Matapos ang kanilang 15-araw na trabaho, nakatakdang makatanggap ang bawat benepisyaryo ng tig-₱7,500 sa selebrasyon ng Araw ng Kalayaan sa Hunyo 12.

Nakatakda namang magsimula ngayong linggo ang higit 700 iba pang benepisyaryo mula sa mga probinsiya ng Batanes, Isabela, at Quirino upang makibahagi rin sa Brigada Eskwela sa kani-kanilang mga lugar. #

PESO personnel in Isabela towns trained on PEIS

CABAGAN, ISABELA — The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) strengthened its employment facilitation efforts in Isabela through an orientation on the PESO Employment Information System (PEIS) for Public Employment Service Office personnel on May 12, 2026 at the Local Government Unit of Cabagan.

The activity was attended by PESO managers and staff from Cabagan, Santo Tomas, Santa Maria, Tumauini, and Delfin Albano.

The orientation aimed to improve the use of PEIS in managing applicant profiles, job vacancies, and employment information to support faster and more accurate job matching between jobseekers and employers.

Romeo D. Liban Jr., Employment Regulation Program Coordinator II, discussed the overarching importance of PEIS in strengthening local employment services and in maintaining a reliable database for employment facilitation and labor market information.

To lay the foundational context for the training, NSRP Coordinator Jan Niccolai Binarao provided a comprehensive recap of the background and history of the PESO, NSRP, and the PEIS platform.

Following the conceptual overview, NSRP Coordinator Aljean Rose Casasola discussed the proper and accurate filling out of the prescribed PESO forms, which serve as the primary source of data for the system.

Meanwhile, TUPAD Coordinator Laika Malagiona led the technical discussion on the crucial processes of encoding employer profiles and logging active job vacancies into the system.

To ensure the training translated into practical capability, participants from each PESO office attended a hands-on workshop. This allowed the personnel to directly navigate, test, and further familiarize themselves with the system's interface and live database functions, ensuring they are fully equipped to implement the platform in their respective municipalities. #
