The launch highlighted two major institutional initiatives: the Teachersโ Performance Credo under Project EVOLVE+ and the SDO Cagayan Leadership Covenant 2026โ2027, both designed to reinforce accountability, instructional excellence, ethical leadership, innovation, and continuous professional growth among educators.
Project EVOLVE+, which stands for โEmpowering Visionary Outcomes in Learning through Versatile Educators Continuously,โ seeks to institutionalize teacher professional advancement anchored on the Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers (PPST) and aligned with the latest DepEd reforms.
Under the Teachersโ Credo, educators pledged commitment to adaptability and tech-savviness, cultural competence and empathy, critical thinking, classroom management, character education, and continuous professional growth. The credo likewise reinforces the integration of ICT, innovative pedagogies, safe learning environments, and values formation in classroom practice.
The initiative was spearheaded by Reynante Z. Caliguiran Schools Division Superintendent (SDS), who emphasized the importance of making the simultaneous District Educators Summit more meaningful, responsive, and transformative for both school heads and teachers across the division.
โWe have prepared these to help you make your summit more relevant and meaningful for your school heads and teachers alike. Please use these to upskill them and improve their passion in the profession,โ Caliguiran said as he introduced the division-crafted professional commitment frameworks.
Meanwhile, the Leadership Covenant outlined the collective commitment of school heads to integrity in leadership, learner-centered governance, instructional supervision, collaborative partnerships, resilience, innovation, sustainability, transparency, and servant leadership.
Caliguiran further directed district leaders to reproduce the commitment and pledge portions of the documents and have participants sign them as part of their performance commitment for School Year 2026โ2027.
The launch forms part of the implementation of Division Memorandum No. 222, s. 2026 on the Conduct of Simultaneous District Educators Summit and School-Based In-Service Training for Teachers, aligned with Republic Act No. 9155 or the Governance of Basic Education Act of 2001, which promotes shared governance and stakeholder participation in delivering quality basic education.
The summits and INSET activities aim to orient teachers and school leaders on new DepEd policies, curriculum reforms, instructional strategies, governance mechanisms, and learner support systems in preparation for the opening of School Year 2026โ2027.
Further, SDO Cagayan recognized the educators of Iguig District for taking the lead in the rollout of the localized initiative, demonstrating the districtโs commitment to advancing transformative and future-ready education.
With Project EVOLVE+, SDO Cagayan, through the strong support of Assistant Schools Division Superintendents Romel Libang and Maricel Franco, Curriculum Implementation Division Chief Rogelio Pasinos, and Schools Governance and Operations Division Chief Nickoye Bumanglag, reinforces its commitment to developing versatile educators and visionary school leaders capable of responding to the evolving demands of 21st-century education while remaining grounded in integrity, excellence, inclusivity, and service.
