The Business Permits and Licensing Office (BPLO) reminds all business owners and operators to secure and submit the necessary environmental permits, registrations, and updated licenses issued by the appropriate government regulatory agencies.
I. ENVIRONMENTAL PERMITS AND COMPLIANCE
All business establishments engaged in the following activities are advised to secure and submit a valid Wastewater Discharge Permit (WDP) issued by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources โ Environmental Management Bureau (DENR-EMB): Laundry Shop, Hospitals, Clinics, Malls, Schools, Hotels and Restaurants, Boarding Houses, Dormitories, Apartments, Funeral Parlors, Plumbing and Siphoning Services, Water Refilling Stations
Meanwhile, establishments engaged in car and motorcycle repair services, including change oil and related automotive services, are required to secure and submit their Hazardous Waste Identification/Registration (Hazardous Waste ID) from the DENR-EMB.
II. UPDATED LICENSE TO OPERATE (LTO)
Business establishments operating under the supervision or regulation of national government agencies are likewise reminded to submit their updated License to Operate (LTO), permits, or appropriate regulatory clearances issued by their respective government regulating agencies.
This includes, but is not limited to:
Gasoline Stations โ Department of Energy (DOE)
LPG Retailers โ Department of Energy (DOE)
Hospitals and Clinics โ Department of Health (DOH)
Pharmacies โ Food and Drug Administration (FDA)
Hotels and Restaurants โ Department of Tourism (DOT), when applicable
Travel and Tours Agencies โ Department of Tourism (DOT)
All concerned business owners/operators are requested to secure, update, and submit copies of the required permits, registrations, and licenses to the Business Permits and Licensing Office (BPLO) for proper verification and compliance monitoring.
