🛡️ 🛡️ Empowering Youth for a Safer Cagayan! 🇵🇭

Over 120 Student leaders and advisers from the University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao (USLT), University of Cagayan Valley (UCV), Medical Center Northern Philippines – International School of Asia and the Pacific (MCNP-ISAP), Maila Rosario College, Cagayan State University – Andrews Campus (CSU-Andrews), and Cagayan State University – Carig Campus (CSU-Carig) gathered at the 6th Floor Function Room of Tuguegarao City Hall for the Student Crime Prevention Provincial Summit and Public Safety Symposium.

With expert insights from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 2, Police Regional Office 2 – Regional Anti-Cybercrime Unit (PRO2-RACU), and the National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM), our youth leaders are stepping up to build safer campuses and drug-free, cyber-secure communities!

Ensuring that only the most qualified and deserving individuals join the police service requires a process grounded in integrity, fairness, and excellence.

On September 3, 2026, Engr. Rey Arvin P. Serrano, Acting Assistant Regional Director of NAPOLCOM Regional Office 2, participated in the Regional Recruitment Screening Committee Meeting for the CY 2026 Patrolman/Patrolwoman Regular/Attrition Recruitment Program, focusing on the Final Deliberation of Qualified Applicants Selected for Appointment. The meeting was held at the Transformational Lounge, Police Regional Office 2, Camp Marcelo A. Adduru, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan.

As NAPOLCOM continues to champion professionalism and accountability in the police service, every deliberation is a step toward building a competent, committed, and service-driven PNP—one that truly embodies the values of integrity, discipline, and dedication to public safety.

🤝 REACHING COMMUNITIES, BUILDING TRUST, SERVING WITH A HEART THROUGH PROJECT A.L.A.G.A.D.

Project ALAGAD (Aktibong Lingkod sa Bayan sa pamamagitan ng Adbokasiya, Gabay, Aksyon, at Disiplina) partners led by the National Police Commission Regional Office 2 (NAPOLCOM RO2), Police Regional Office 2 through the Regional Community Affairs and Development Division (RCADD), and I-SAVED brought their commitment to meaningful public service beyond the office through a Community Outreach and Social Protection Day held at Brgy. Palao, Solana, Cagayan.

With over 110 participants served through legal counseling and free notarial services, seedlings and dishwashing liquid distribution, and ID Picture taking, this activity proves that more than an outreach activity, Project A.L.A.G.A.D. is a reminder that public service becomes more meaningful when it reaches the people who need it most.

💙 And compassion makes it meaningful.

NAPOLCOM RO2 TAKES STOCK OF 1ST SEMESTER ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Ensuring that plans translate into meaningful results, Engr. Rey Arvin P. Serrano, Acting Assistant Regional Director of NAPOLCOM Regional Office 2, led a meeting on the Evaluation of the 1st Semester Accomplishments under the Office Performance Commitment and Review (OPCR) for CY 2026.

The meeting brought together the Division Chiefs, Section Chiefs, and Secretariat of the Performance Management Team (PMT) for a collaborative assessment of the office’s performance and accomplishments during the first half of the year.

💡 Every accomplishment tells a story of teamwork. Every gap presents an opportunity to improve. And every target achieved brings the organization one step closer to delivering better public service.

From the office to the airwaves—NAPOLCOM Regional Office 2 brings the conversation on crime prevention, public safety, and civilian oversight closer to the people!

Engr. Rey Arvin P. Serrano, Acting Assistant Regional Director of NAPOLCOM Regional Office 2, graced “Ratsada sa Umaga” as guest, aired live via DZDA 105.3 FM Radyo Pangkaunlaran at the Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office 2.

The radio program provided a meaningful platform to share insights, updates, and advocacies on strengthening crime prevention efforts, public participation, and collaboration among government agencies and communities.

Through platforms like Ratsada sa Umaga, NAPOLCOM R2 continues to engage the public beyond the office—because civilian oversight and collective action begin with informed and involved communities.

In celebration of the 32nd National Crime Prevention Week, NAPOLCOM Regional Office 2, in collaboration with the Tuguegarao Component City Police Station and the support of the Local Government Unit of Tuguegarao City, hosted a School Parent-Teacher Association (SPTA) Crime Prevention, Drug Education and Public Safety Forum at the Ivory Hotel and Suites, Buntun Highway on September 2, 2026.

A massive thank you to our expert speakers from NAPOLCOM, PNP, and PDEA, and to the active School-Parent-Teacher Association (SPTA) officers and student leaders representing over 37 elementary and high schools across the city.
