✨Adgao's KK Assembly 2025: EMPOWERED. EDUCATED. ENGAGED 2.0!

The 2nd Semester Katipunan ng Kabataan Assembly in Barangay. Adgao, held on December 27, 2025 at the Barangay Chapel, brought our youth together for a full afternoon of learnings, purpose, connection, and growth, running from 1:00 to 5:00 PM.

Our esteemed guest speakers shared a vital knowledge that equips our youth to navigate life's challenges:

🗣️~PMSg. Catherine Tadit (Tubungan PNP) discussed Republic Act 9344 (Juvenile Justice & Welfare Act), emphasizing protection and rehabilitation for children in conflict with the law.

🗣️~Mrs. Agnes Mediana (Tubungan Midwife) tackled teenage pregnancy, highlighting its risks and impacts with a powerful reminder that, "Teenagers are supposed to be changing the world, not changing diapers."

The assembly went beyond discussions, with meaningful activities including the presentation of certificates and tokens of appreciation to our dedicated speakers, distribution of snacks and beverages, fun games and giving of tote bags as token of all participants. Photo opportunities captured the unity and vibrant spirit of our youth community.

Sangguniang Kabataan Adgao extends heartfelt gratitude to our Guest Speakers, Brgy. Adgao Elected and Appointed Officials, every Young Participants, and all who contributed to making this event a success. Your support helps our kabataan step up as strong, informed leaders for our community!

The Barangay Adgao Council, headed by Hon. Candida Goleña, Acting Punong Barangay, successfully conducted the Culminating Activity of the 33rd National Children’s Month Celebration with the theme “OSAEC–CSAEM Wakasan: Kaligtasan at Karapatan ng Bata Ipaglaban!” last November 22, 2025, held at Adgao Tagpuan Ingay Integrated School.

Together with all appointed and elected barangay officials, the SK Council and the PYAP Officers led by Hon. Jonji Tamara, SK Chairperson, the activity highlighted the barangay’s continued commitment to promoting child protection, safety, and welfare. The program was also facilitated by the Barangay Day Care Worker, ensuring an organized and child-friendly celebration.

As part of the event, school supplies were distributed to 35 selected pupils and children, providing essential support to their educational needs.

Padayon ang aton tinutuyo nga protektahan kag suportahan ang kabataan sang Barangay Adgao!

𝗥𝗨𝗟𝗘𝗦 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗚𝗨𝗜𝗗𝗘𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗘𝗦:
1. This is an Inter-Barangay One-Day Volleyball League composed of 8 teams divided into two brackets.
In case fewer than 8 teams from Tubungan are interested, other municipalities within the First District of Iloilo will be allowed to participate.

2. Each team must consist of a maximum of 10 players who are residents of the same barangay within the Municipality of Tubungan.
A maximum of 2 import players (from within the First District of Iloilo only) is allowed, for a total of 12 players per team.
(Due to popular demand, we are allowing Tubungan players to join other barangay teams)

3. Team assignments will be determined through a drawing of lots before the start of the games.

4. Games will start as early as 8:00 AM.

5. Line-ups must be finalized and include the phrase “NOTHING FOLLOWS” after the last team member’s name.

6. The list must be legibly written, with no erasures, and signed by the Team Manager or Team Captain.

7. Players who arrive late (even during the semifinals or finals) are still eligible to play as long as they are included in the submitted official line-up.

8. Once submitted, the line-up will be considered final, and all listed players are recognized as members of the team.

9. Once the team has played its first game, no further additions to the line-up will be allowed.
