ADVISORY | NYC URGES YOUTH PARTICIPATION IN UPCOMING BSKE VOTER REGISTRATION

The National Youth Commission (NYC) has issued an advisory, calling on all members of the Youth Organization Registration Program (YORP) and National Youth Volunteers Program (NYVP) aged 18 to 30 years old to register for the upcoming Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE).

Voter registration for the BSKE will officially commence in the last week of October 2025 and continue until July 2026. The NYC emphasizes the critical role of youth in shaping the future of their communities through active participation in the democratic process.

This call to action is reinforced by NYC Non-Policy Resolution with Certification No. 115, Series of 2025, which explicitly encourages all YORP and NYVP members to not only register but also to actively vote and engage in the upcoming elections.

"The Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections are fundamental in empowering our youth to directly influence local governance and youth development initiatives," said NYC Chairperson and CEO USec. Joseph Francisco Ortega. "We strongly urge all eligible YORP and NYVP members who have not yet registered in previous elections to seize this opportunity to make their voices heard."
