President Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr. on Thursday graced the opening of the Philippines’ largest, most influential, and internationally recognized Agrilink/Foodlink/Aqualink 2022 trade exhibition at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.
In his message, President Marcos Jr. said the trade fair serves as a good first step for the Philippines, as the country lay the path towards agricultural industrialization.
Citing their contributions in ensuring food security and in the country’s economic growth, President Marcos Jr. also recognized agricultural sector workers as great unsung heroes of the nation.
He also underscored the government’s current efforts in modernizing the agriculture sector and assisting farmers and fisherfolk to increase local food production.
The Chief Executive also vowed to rebuild the agriculture sector, putting forward to make the Philippines a leading agricultural resource hub in the region and the world.
