As yet another prelude of the Battalion's 36th Founding Anniversary, the four companies (Alpha, Bravo, Charlie and Headquarters) of the 47th Infantry (Katapatan) Battalion battled it out for the Annual Squad Challenge earlier today, 14 March 2017 at Camp Lino I Chatto, Tubigon, Bohol.

The four squads were judged according to their performances in the simulated activities based on three categories- Endurance and Drills, Disaster Response and Markmanship. The squad challenge was in line with the battalion's thrust in strengthening core combat capabilities and readiness, teamwork, physical stamina and mental aptitude under duress as well as disaster relief and rescue operations.

Headquarters Service Company emerged as the victor as it topped two of the trials, Endurance and Drills and Disaster Response.

While the contest was done with everyone involved enjoying the tasks ( hard they may be), it wasn't all lighthearted moments as it allowed for the assessment and evaluation of the capabilities of the battalion to comply with its mandate of preserving the peace and serving the people of Bohol and Cebu.
