The 2nd Congressional District Affairs Office, in partnership with the Local Government Units of 2nd District of La Union, is now accepting applicants for the Government Internship Program (GIP).

We are looking for ka-distritos with Bachelor’s Degree in Education to serve their own towns. Under this program, interns will be deployed to schools within their home municipalities—one intern per school.

SPES Qualifying Exam 📝

Under the supportive leadership of our Municipal Mayor, Atty. Jonalyn G. Fontanilla-Piayas, the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Tubao successfully conducted the Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES) Qualifying Exam yesterday, April 21, 2026 at the Municipal Hall, Poblacion, Tubao, La Union.

We share our Mayor's vision of providing meaningful opportunities for our youth to support their education and gain early professional experience.

SPES QUALIFYING EXAM ANNOUNCEMENT!

The Public Employment Service Office (PESO) of the Municipality of Tubao informs all SPES applicants that the SPES Qualifying Examination will be conducted on April 21, 2026 ( Tuesday only) at the PESO Tubao, Municipal hall, Poblacion, Tubao, La Union .

All examinees are advised to bring a pencil and eraser and to arrive before their scheduled examination time.

📌 All qualified examinees listed below are advice to check your time schedule posted.

Please be informed that the acceptance of applications for the Special Program for the Employment of Students (SPES) is temporarily closed.

Due to the large number of applicants and limited available slots, we will first conduct an initial assessment of all submitted applications.

We appreciate your interest and overwhelming support. Further updates on the reopening of applications will be announced soon.

Great news for our students and out-of-school youth here in Tubao. Applications for the Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES) are officially open for 2026!

If you’re looking to gain work experience and earn extra funds for your schooling, this is your chance.

Who can apply?

✅ Resident of Tubao
✅ Age 15 to 30 years old
✅ Currently enrolled students (no failing grades) or Out-of-School Youth (OSY) who plan to return to school
✅ Families within the low-income bracket

What do you need to bring?

Birth Certificate (PSA or Local Civil Registrar)
Photocopy of your latest Report Card or Certificate of Grades
Proof of Income (Certificate of Indigency from your Barangay or Tax Exemption from the BIR)
Two (2) copies of a 2x2 ID picture

Just a reminder: Please bring your documents directly to our PESO Office at the Municipal Hall, Poblacion , Tubao, La Union so we can check them right away. You’ll be asked to fill out the application form once you arrive.

We are on a first-come, first-served basis and slots are limited, so don’t wait until the last minute!
