Boac; Education Program Specialist for School Management Monitoring and Evaluation, Mary Vanice V. Tolentino, and MFPTA President of Sudipen, Stephanie Jeyza Diazen.
Our special guests from the DepEd, joined by DZNL Aksyon Radyoโs Ador Dacanay, KM Ngayon Na!โs Congressman Kenneth Paolo Tereng, SBM Ramsey Pascual Mangaoang and SBM Gabriel A. Sotto, sat down for a discussion at the Peopleโs Hall of the 2nd Congressional District Office on Education concerns in the 2nd District of La Union.
The panel engaged in an in-depth discussion on the growing concern of bullying and mass shootings in the Philippines, examining the root causes behind these troubling trends and their impact on students, families, and schools. The speakers explored the psychological, social, and institutional factors that contribute to such incidents, while also highlighting the urgent need for stronger support systems in schools.
The discussion emphasized preventive measures, including early intervention programs, mental health support for students, stricter school safety protocols, and greater collaboration between parents, educators, and local authorities.
To close the radio program, Congressman Dante Sotelo Garcia and the panel concluded that addressing these issues requires a collective, sustained effort that prioritizes empathy, awareness, and proactive policies to create safer environments for the youth.
