BERT Olympics (Rescue Olympics) 2026
The BERT Olympics, also known as the Rescue Olympics, is a competition designed to showcase and enhance the skills of Barangay Emergency Response Teams (BERTs) in disaster preparedness, emergency response, and rescue operations.
The BERT Olympics is celebrated every third week of July as part of the observance of National Disaster Resilience Month.
Competition Stations
Participating BERTs shall undergo seven (7) simulated emergency stations, including:
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
Patient Handling
Bandaging and Splinting
Lifting and Moving Techniques
Other emergency response scenarios (to be discussed during the orientation)
Clustering of Barangays
The participating barangays are grouped into the following clusters:
Cluster 1 – Poblacion
– La Victoria
– Tagum Norte
– Tagum Sur
– Soom

🕜 Time: 1:30 PM
📍 Host Barangay: Tagum Sur
📅 Final Round: July 28, 2026
Each participating BERT team shall be composed of ten (10) participants.
Participant Qualifications
Must be certified members of the Barangay Emergency Response Team (BERT).
Must comply with all documentary requirements (see attached guidelines).
The Punong Barangay and the Barangay Focal Person are not allowed to compete but may serve as team coaches.
