Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 132, work in government offices and classes at all levels in public and private schools shall be suspended in the National Capital Region and the following provinces at 1:00 p.m. on August 28, 2026, in anticipation of the further enhancement of the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) by the Low-Pressure Area (LPA) that entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR):

Patuloy na sinisiguro ng DepEd na ligtas, maayos, at may malasakit ang ating mga paaralan para sa bawat mag-aaral at kawani.
Narito ang mga hakbang na maaaring ipatupad ngayon ng mga paaralan upang makaiwas sa panganib, makatugon agad sa insidente, at maalagaan ang buong school community, alinsunod sa DepEd Order No. 006, s. 2026 o Ensuring a Safe and Motivating Learning Environment (ESMLE) Policy.

Hinihiling ng Department of Education (DepEd) ang isang permanenteng at nakalaang line-item allocation sa pambansang badyet para sa Fiscal Year 2027 upang matugunan ang mga kakulangan sa kaligtasan sa basic education system.
