Arbor Day or Tree Planting Day is one of the Municipality of Torrijosโ€™ annual highlight activities every September. More than an environmental initiative, it is also a meaningful tribute to the enduring heroism and legacy of Pulang Lupa. ๐Ÿซก๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญ

The Torrijos Arbor Day is conducted annually pursuant to Municipal Ordinance No. 2014-06, declaring every first Friday of September as โ€œArbor Day.โ€

Today, we honor the brave Filipinos who stood for freedom, fought for justice, and dedicated their lives to building a nation worthy of hope. On ๐๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐š๐ฅ ๐‡๐ž๐ซ๐จ๐ž๐ฌ ๐ƒ๐š๐ฒ, we remember not only the heroes whose names have become part of our history, but also the countless ordinary Filipinos whose courage and sacrifices helped shape the Philippines we know today.

Their stories remind us that heroism is not confined to the pages of history. It lives on in every act of service, every stand for what is right, and every effort to make our communities and our country better.

May we honor their legacy by becoming responsible citizens who choose courage over indifference, service over self-interest, and hope over despair.
