OFFICIAL STATEMENT ON PENDING PAYMENT CLAIMS REGARDING THE ARTISTIC DIRECTOR AND RENTAL OF SOUNDS FOR THE INDEPENDENCE DAY AND HINULAWAN CELEBRATION 2023

It has come to the attention of this Office that certain individuals have disseminated posts and made comments on social media channels regarding payment claims for the over-all artistic director and rental of sounds, lights, LED wall and trusses during the Independence Day and Hinulawan Celebration 2023.

This Office seeks to clarify that the Mayor's Office attempted to arrange a personal meeting with the owner of VHC Productions, the contracted entity for the aforementioned project. The purpose was to seek clarification on specific aspects of the engagements. However, instead of the owner personally attending, freelance bookkeepers were sent in his stead. His authorized representatives have indicated their limited involvement in the operational aspects and have expressed a lack of comprehensive knowledge regarding the actual transactions.

A formal invitation has been extended to the owner and his legal counsel for a clarificatory meeting to address the outstanding issues.

The City Government of Toledo has contracted only with VHC Productions. While subcontractors were engaged by the contractor, the City bears no contractual responsibility toward these subcontractors. Any inquiries, demands, or issues by any subcontractor should be addressed directly to the contractor responsible for their engagement, distinctly separate from the City Government of Toledo.

OFFICIAL STATEMENT ON PENDING PAYMENT CLAIMS REGARDING THE PURCHASE OF MEALS FOR THE INDEPENDENCE DAY AND HINULAWAN CELEBRATION 2023

It has come to the knowledge of this Office that posts and messages have been made by individuals on social media pertaining to the request for payment for the supply and delivery of meals for the Independence Day and Hinulawan Celebration 2023.

This is to inform everyone and anyone who might have any interest in the said transaction that a case has been filed and is pending before the Office of the Ombudsman. Hence, settlement of the account will be dependent on the outcome of the said case.

To clarify, the City Government of Toledo has contracted only with Yobhelle's Eatery for the supply and delivery of meals. While subcontractors were engaged by the contractor, the City bears no contractual responsibility with these subcontractors. Any inquiries, demands, or issues by any subcontractor should be addressed directly to the contractor responsible for their engagement, distinctly separate from the City Government of Toledo.
