Kabataan Kontra Droga at Terorismo - 2nd PMFC celebrates our National Heroes Day!🎉✨
Today is the day we dare not forget the most those heroes old and new, widely-known or unnamed who have fought in order to keep alive the foundation of the nation. Just like the old heroes whose names we still read and teach to the future generations— Jose Rizal for his ideas that aided in formulating an identity for the Philippines at a national extent. Rizal has become a symbol of the Philippine struggle for independence. Andres Bonifacio for founding the Katipunan, a secret society which spearheaded the uprising against the Spanish and laid the groundwork for the first Philippine Republic.
Of course the heroes we should come to know do not only need to be read in a book. The rise of the pandemic had come to bring the world apart, setting more boundaries than before, bringing downfall to societies, businesses, and most importantly, people. The heroes of today's generation had worked their days off in the front lines to keep us safe and out of harm's way— The doctors, nurses, and those involved in keeping the rise of medical issues have braved the danger of having to face the Coronavirus disease despite putting their lives on the line. They must put themselves in a tough position in order to aid the people who had been indulged in medical misery. Police officers continue working in the front lines as well to diminish the criminality that continues to take advantage even in the worst of situations. They also help provide necessary aids to the people in order to help reignite their faith and hope amidst the severity of the situation we are in.
Heroes hide in the most unlikely places. And different heroes have different objectives in the hopes of making a better future generation. To be a hero does not have to mean that you must let people know what you have done for the sake of gaining fame. However, it is about letting others see what they can also do to help create a better future. Not just for themselves, but also for others.
