The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) – Albay Provincial Office invites all interested Service and Repair Shop (SRS) Owners, Managers and Technical Personnel to a Virtual Dialogue with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Regional Office V.

🛠️ This dialogue aims to address the needs and challenges of our local service and repair sector, especially regarding the National Certificate (NC) requirement for shop personnel—a key requirement in the DTI accreditation process under Presidential Decree 1572.

Let’s work together in finding solutions and clarifying the process of certification to help our enterprises grow and comply!

The DTI Negosyo Center Tiwi, in partnership with the MSWD Tiwi PWD Sector, successfully conducts an entrepreneurial seminar entitled “𝑩𝒖𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝑴𝒂𝒏𝒂𝒈𝒆𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝑻𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝑭𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒊𝒂𝒍 𝑳𝒊𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒚” on April 14, 2025 at the Negosyo Center Tiwi, Brgy. Tigbi, Tiwi, Albay.

The seminar aims to equip persons with disabilities (PWDs) with foundational knowledge in business management and financial literacy, enabling them to start, manage, and sustain small enterprises with confidence and resilience.

Participants go through essential topics such as goal setting, basic bookkeeping, income and expense tracking, and identifying business opportunities suited to their skills and interests. The session also emphasizes the importance of budgeting, savings, and financial discipline in maintaining sustainable livelihoods. Interactive discussions and real-life examples help create a dynamic learning environment, while personalized mentoring boosts participants’ confidence to take the first steps toward entrepreneurship.

Serving as the resource speaker is Mr. Ramon T. De Leon, Professional Instructor from Bicol University. With his expertise in financial literacy and business development, he shares practical strategies and best practices that help participants better understand how to manage a small business effectively.

This activity reflects DTI’s ongoing commitment to inclusive growth by ensuring access to entrepreneurial education and support for all sectors of society.
