SK Officials Barangay Tigbao

The Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) of Barangay Tigbao hereby issues this formal notice to inform the public, particularly the youth sector, that all planned and upcoming events, projects, and activities will be suspended due to resigning of our SK treasurer. This decision was not made lightly, as the SK Council remains fully dedicated to serving the welfare and interests of the youth in our community. However, we are constrained by unavoidable circumstances that prevent us from proceeding with our planned initiatives at this time.
This decision is primarily due to the current vacancy in the position of SK Treasurer. This officer is legally mandated to handle all financial transactions, disbursements, and related documentary requirements. Without an appointed and authorized Treasurer, we cannot legally process or release funds, making it impossible to carry out any activity despite our desire to continue serving.
Furthermore, filling this position is not feasible at this time. Any replacement must hold a valid Bookkeeping certification. Even if a qualified candidate is found, the Municipal Government will not conduct the SK Mandatory Training (SKMT) required for the new officer to assume duties. The approaching elections also restrict major appointments under existing guidelines.
We sincerely apologize for the disappointment and inconvenience this suspension may bring. We understand that many of our youth have looked forward to our activities, and we share your desire to move forward.
