𝗘𝗫𝗧𝗘𝗡𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗠 𝗟𝗔𝗨𝗡𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗗: 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗝𝗘𝗖𝗧 𝟭 𝗜𝗡𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗗

Officially launched on December 12, 2024, the College of Business and Management through its College Extension Services, implemented the first of the many interventions for Tibiao Transformers, as the beneficiaries of the extension program 𝗨𝗔 𝗖𝗔𝗥𝗘𝗦: 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗔𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿-𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 [𝗧𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗮𝗼 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀] (𝘵𝘦𝘹𝘵 𝘳𝘦𝘷𝘪𝘴𝘦𝘥).

Project 1, hosted by 𝗠𝘀. 𝗦𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗵𝗮 𝗝𝗼𝘆 𝗔. 𝗔𝗹𝘃𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗼, entitled 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗟𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, led by its Project Leader, 𝗠𝗿. 𝗗𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗘. 𝗦𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗼, together with 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳. 𝗧𝘄𝗲𝗲𝘁𝘂𝗺𝘀 𝗕𝗼𝗲 𝗘. 𝗔𝗿𝘇𝗮𝗴𝗮, 𝗠𝗕𝗔, 𝗠𝗿. 𝗥𝗲𝘆𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗠. 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗴𝗮, 𝗠𝗕𝗔, and Mr. Jerald C. Sebastian, MBA, with the help of the students and Student Leaders of organizations, from the Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship (BS Entrep) program, delivered seminar-workshops that not only dealt with knowledge imparting, but also fun and excitement.

Focus of the seminar-workshops were (1) 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲𝘀 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, aimed in guiding and leading our path in entrepreneurship towards the business' success and achieve your objectives, and (2) 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗱-𝘀𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 where beneficiaries were instituting resiliency, creativity, problem-solving, and grasping opportunity, to name a few, were discussed.

The BS Entrep Program of the college, also distributed Gift Packs to the beneficiaries, through the kindness and efforts of Student Organizations, Business Management Association of the Philippines (BMAP), Entrepreneurial, Action, Us (ENACTUS), BS Entrep Snack N Shop, Business Office and Ancillary Services (BOAS), UA-TLMC Canteen, Mam Liezl Dela Vega, and Prof. Tweetums Boe E. Arzaga, MBA.

"𝗔𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗮𝗶𝘁, 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗶𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴."

The 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲 (𝗧𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗼-𝗟𝗶𝗺 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘀) through the Community Extension Services of the College of Business and Management officially launched its collaborative Extension Program with the 𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗧𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗮𝗼, and the 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆, entitled 𝗨𝗔 𝗖𝗔𝗥𝗘𝗦: 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗔𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿-𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 [𝗧𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗮𝗼 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀] (𝘵𝘦𝘹𝘵 𝘳𝘦𝘷𝘪𝘴𝘦𝘥) on December 12, 2024 at the AVR, 2F Multiple Intelligences (MI) Building, UA-TLMC.

After series of talks, coordination meetings, months of planning, revising and formatting, the Extension Program in collaboration with both Local and National Government Agencies, finally has come to being. Initiated in March 2024, the Extension Program underwent many revisions to fully realize and maximize its sustainability, socio-economic, and way of life impacts to the beneficiaries.

The 𝗦𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗺 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 (𝗠𝗢𝗔) was penned by key officials and personnel of between parties. 𝗗𝗿. 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗼 𝗦. 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗰𝗮𝘆𝗮, Campus Director of the University of Antique (TLMC), 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗞𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘀 "𝗪𝗲𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗲𝗻𝗴" 𝗚. 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗷𝗮, Municipal Mayor of the Local Government of Tibiao, (𝘳𝘦𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘣𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘚𝘦𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘺 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘔𝘢𝘺𝘰𝘳, 𝘔𝘴. 𝘊𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘺 𝘋. 𝘍𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘯), 𝗥𝗗 𝗥𝗮𝗺𝗼𝗻 𝗘𝘃𝗮𝗻 𝗧. 𝗥𝘂𝗶𝘇, Regional Director of TESDA Region 6 (𝘳𝘦𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘣𝘺 𝘗𝘋 𝘈𝘨𝘯𝘦𝘴 𝘌. 𝘋𝘪𝘮𝘻𝘰𝘯, 𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘋𝘪𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘰𝘳 𝘰𝘧 𝘛𝘌𝘚𝘋𝘈 𝘈𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘲𝘶𝘦).

Witnesses to the said signing of agreement from the Local Government Unit of Tibiao are 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗝𝗶𝗺𝗺𝘆 𝗗. 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗼𝘀, Municipal Vice-Mayor, 𝗠𝘀. 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗡𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗼, MSWDO, Acting Chief-of-Police, 𝗣𝗠𝗔𝗝 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗽𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗡. 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗼, of the Philippine National Police (PNP) Tibiao, together with its Police Community Relations Chief 𝗠𝘀. 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲𝗹𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲 𝗛𝗼𝗽𝗲 𝗔𝗹𝗺𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗮𝘀.

The said activity aims to orient our PWUDs Tibiaoanon Brothers what the initiative is about and to conduct a Training Needs Assessment (TNA) that CBM, UA-TLMC will utilize as foundation for an efficient, effective and sustainable extension program, ensuring that appropriate livelihood and skills transferred are aligned with the University's Research and Development (R&D) thrusts and priorities, and niche: Kawayan, Kuron, Karan-un (K*K), and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and will also serve as after-care interventions to our PWUDs constituents in cooperation with LGU Tibao through the RHU, MSWDO and the Tibiao MPS.

The Community Extension Services of the College of Business and Management, University of Antique (Tario-Lim Memorial Campus), conducted a coordination meeting and initial dialogue with the Barbaza Multi-Purpose Cooperative (BMPC) Chief Executive Officer Leonil M. Alabado on March 26, 2024 at BMPC Head Office, Barbaza, Antique, led by College Extension Chairperson, Mr. Jeremiah B. Estrada, MBA together with BSE Program Head, Asst. Prof. Tweetums Boe E. Arzaga, MBA, Program Chairpersons Mr. Dexter E. Samillano (BSE), and Sara Jane S. Capague (BSHM).

Groundworks for an Extension Program was initiated by CBM under the leadership of Associate Dean Lovella C. Flores, DBM-HM, in collaboration with BMPC to deliver efficient, effective and sustainable public service, through knowledge and technology transfer to the communities.

On 12 March 2024, the College of Business and Management of the University of Antique (Tario-Lim Memorial Campus), College Extension Services Unit spearheaded by College Extension Chairperson Jeremiah B. Estrada, MBA conducted its 1st Quarterly Meeting, participated by Course/Program Extension Heads of each Undergraduate Programs offered by the college, Mr. Dexter E. Samillano (BSE), Ms. Sara Jane S. Capague (BSHM), Ms Ramelie E. Gindap-Balbin (BLGA), with Faculty Extensionist Ms. Annie B. Banquillo, and Ms. Marisa Samillano.

Agenda discussed during the activity were the (1) 2024 University Extension PBB Targets, (2) 2024 Extension Capability Building, (3) 2024 College Extension Services Targets, Programs and Activities, and (4) Ways Forward.

This activity ensures that each program is on a collaborative effort in crafting effective, efficient and sustainable programs and projects, aligned to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the University's targets, thrusts, priorities, and niche.

The Coordination Meeting is an activity that commences the partnership between institutions, and for continued sustainable programs and projects in the community.

IN PHOTOS: The University of Antique (Tario-Lim Memorial Campus) Extension Unit led by the Extension Coordinator, Asst. Prof. Alvin M. Doroteo together with the REI Director, Asso. Prof., Dr. Aldrex A. Barrientos, and the College Extension Chairpersons conducted a Special In-House Review of Extension Program/Projects Proposals on March 14, 2024, at the Campus Director's Lounge.

The extension proposals were presented to the various heads of offices for improvement and approval. This is also to ensure efficient and effective delivery of extension programs and projects, provide appropriate alternative livelihoods in the community, and consider their alignment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the University's R&D thrust and priorities, and niche: Kawayan, Kuron, Karan-un (K*K).

The Program Proposal and projects presented were critiqued by the OIC Dean of the College of Fisheries, Asst. Prof. April Rose B. Mendoza, Associate Dean of the College of Business and Management, Asso. Prof, Dr. Lovella C. Flores, and the Director for Academic Affairs, Asso. Prof. Beverly D. Francisco.

The College of Business and Management UA TLMC led by Dr Lovella Flores, the associate dean together with the faculty extensionists Jeremiah Estrada, Tweetums Boe Arzaga,Mary XZ Gelano,Elmo Montalbo,Jerald Sebastian Roxanne Joy Alegonza,Emmanuel Entrina conducted a Cooking Demonstration Enhancement on the innovated products extended by the College to the beneficiaries in connection with the College's Extension Program:Enhancing the Tourism Services of the North:Leading to WOWW Antique. Thisxwas assisted by the student extensionists of the College.Special thanks to Mr and Mrs Marcelino,owner of Bluewave mountain Resort for allowing us to use their place to be the venue of the activity.
