Calling all blood donors!
We need your help! The University of Antique TLMC is holding a blood donation drive on October 13, 2023 at the Recreation and Fitness Center.
WHY DONATE BLOOD?
Donating blood is a great way to give back to your community and help people in need. Every day, people need blood for a variety of reasons, including accidents, surgeries, and cancer treatments.
WHAT TO EXPECT AT THE BLOOD DONATION DRIVE.
The blood donation process is quick and easy. It takes about 10 minutes to donate a pint of blood. You'll be asked to fill out a questionnaire about your health history and then have a brief physical exam. Once you're cleared to donate, you'll relax in a comfortable chair/bed while a needle is inserted into your arm. The blood will be collected into a sterile bag. After you've finished donating, you'll be given a snack and a drink to help you recover.
WHO CAN DONATE BLOOD?
Most healthy adults between the ages of 18 and 65 are eligible to donate blood. You must weigh at least 50 kilograms and be in good health.
So what are you waiting for? Roll up your sleeve on October 13, 2023 and donate blood! Together, we can make a difference!

𝙈𝘼𝙍𝘾𝙀𝙇𝙄𝙉𝙊 𝙋𝘼𝙑𝙀𝙎 𝙃𝙀𝙍 𝙒𝘼𝙔 𝙏𝙊 𝙉𝙎𝘾𝙐𝘼𝘼 𝙒𝙄𝙏𝙃 𝙏𝙒𝙊 𝙎𝙄𝙇𝙑𝙀𝙍 𝙈𝙀𝘿𝘼𝙇𝙎

Tears rolled on her cheeks as Erwina Marcelino of University of Antique - Tario Lim Memorial Campus (UA-TLMC) ran her way in 3,000 and 5,000 meters, seizing silver medal in both categories during the Regional State Colleges and Universities Athletic Association (RSCUAA) at Panaad Park and Stadium, September 11-12.

Marcelino finished her 3,000 meter run on the first day of the event emotionally because she dedicated her RSCUAA journey to her father, a sakada worker in Negros Occidental.

Moreover, her second silver medal in the 5,000 meter run was gained during the second day of the event allowing her to qualify in the national level.

"Nagapasalamat ako kay God nga gintugruan ako ka strength, ginbuligan ako, gintupad ang akun prayers nga himuon ang akun very best gid sa kadya", said Marcelino.

Roadruns in Tibiao, Antique were her training foundation, sustained by one week of drill routines during her stay in UA-Main Campus played a huge part in her victory.

After securing two silver medals in athletics, Marcelino will contend in the upcoming National State Colleges and Universities Athletic Association (NSCUAA) that will be held in Tarlac on October. /𝐷.𝐾. 𝐿𝑖𝑏𝑒𝑟𝑎𝑡𝑜
