GNHS Conducts Second Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill 2026
Gaddani National High School (GNHS) successfully conducted the Second Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) 2026 with the active participation of students, advisers, faculty members, and non-teaching staff.
During the drill, participants performed the standard “Duck, Cover, and Hold” protocol upon hearing the alarm warning system. After the signal, students, advisers, faculty members, and non-teaching personnel evacuated in an orderly manner and proceeded to the school’s designated open area to ensure their safety and avoid potential hazards from falling debris.
Following the evacuation, teachers conducted an attendance check to account for all students and personnel and to identify any missing individuals who might require immediate rescue during an actual emergency.
After the headcount, Sir Constantino T. Rapisora, together with the GNHS teachers and advisers, led a discussion and evaluation of the drill. They emphasized the importance of earthquake preparedness, noting that earthquakes are unpredictable natural disasters.
The annual conduct of the National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill helps promote awareness and preparedness among students and school personnel in the event of an earthquake. The activity also ensures that everyone is familiar with the proper safety procedures to follow during emergencies.
