𝐒𝐀𝐅𝐄 𝐒𝐂𝐇𝐎𝐎𝐋𝐒 𝐍𝐎𝐖! 𝐍𝐎 𝐂𝐇𝐈𝐋𝐃 𝐒𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐋𝐃 𝐅𝐄𝐄𝐋 𝐅𝐄𝐀𝐑 𝐈𝐍 𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐒𝐂𝐇𝐎𝐎𝐋𝐒!

“No child should ever die simply because they went to school. No student should have to fear that walking into a classroom could cost them their life.”

We echo and support the statement made by Akbayan Partylist that no child should never simply die because they went to school.

As a youth movement that push for progressive and inclusive reforms for the youth, it is high-time to prioritize the safety of our students!

Pass the Students Rights And Welfare (STRAW) Bill that calls for a safe learning environment and mandates standard campus safety protocols, emergency protections, and safe physical environments for all primary, secondary, and tertiary institutions.

We also reiterates the call of Akbayan Party to pass the Child Safety Against Gun Violence Act, which seeks to strengthen safeguards against children’s access to fi****ms and protect them from gun-related violence.

As we mourn the lives lost in this tragic incident, our thoughts and prayers are with our beloved students, community, and family that has been affected by this horrific event.

Akbayan! Youth Tarlac to the US-Marcos Regime:
𝗚𝗘𝗧 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗣𝗔𝗫 𝗢𝗨𝗧!

Behind the colorful promises of “jobs” and “industrialization” lies the true face of imperialism and deception. PAX SILICA is a clear example of the continued use of the Philippines as a servant to the interests of the United States and foreign corporations, while the Marcos administration acts as a willing enabler in opening our lands and natural resources for their profit.

Instead of genuine national industrialization, what is being offered is a model dependent on foreign capital that places the welfare of Tarlaqueños last. While only a few stand to benefit, communities are expected to bear the costs in the form of environmental destruction, increased consumption of water and electricity, and issues long associated with large-scale industrial AI projects.

Development that depends on the sacrifice of the people cannot be called progress. Jobs cannot be celebrated if they come at the expense of our future. And it is unacceptable for any project to prioritize foreign interests over the rights and welfare of the Filipino people.
