From legacy operations to modern advancements, the unit continues to evolve with innovative capabilities, advanced equipment, and highly trained personnel ready to meet emerging threats.

As we celebrate this milestone, we honor the dedication, sacrifice, and excellence of all past and present EOD personnel who have contributed to the Battalion’s enduring success.

CAMP GENERAL SERVILLANO A AQUINO, SAN MIGUEL, TARLAC CITY- The Support Command, Philippine Army marked another significant milestone as its held the Change of Command Ceremony of the HHSBn at Support Command Officers Clubhouse on May 19, 2026.

𝐌𝐆𝐄𝐍 𝐅𝐋𝐎𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐄 𝐏 𝐒𝐈𝐒𝐎𝐍 𝐏𝐀 Commander, Support Command, presided over the ceremony which formally transferred the mantle of leadership from the outgoing Battalion Commander, COL JOSE RAMER F MEGIO SR OS (GSC) PA to the incoming Commander, LTC ALBERT M ORTIZ GSC (OS) PA.

During the ceremony, MGEN SISON presented awards to COL MEGIO, commending his firm leadership and operational discipline that provided stability and clear direction during his tenure. He also welcome the incoming Commander LTC ORTIZ urging to employ aggressive leadership, strict discipline, and uncompromising standards, balanced with genuine empathy to continue driving HHSBn forward with precision and urgency.

In his message, MGEN SISON emphasized the heavy responsibility borne by the unit, nothing that the strength of any Command is rooted in discipline, seamless systems, and quite dedication.

Camp General Servillano A Aquino, San Miguel Tarlac City- The Support Command, Philippine Army marked a significant milestone in its leadership continuity during a joint change of Chief of Office and Assumption of Office Ceremony held at Officers Clubhouse, Support Command, PA on May 18,2026.

𝘾𝙊𝙇 𝙅𝙊𝙎𝙀𝙋𝙃 𝙁 𝙈𝘼𝙉𝘼𝙉𝙂𝘼𝙉 𝙈𝙉𝙎𝘼 (𝙊𝙎) 𝙋𝘼, Chief of Staff, SPTCOM presided over the ceremony. The event is the transition of key leadership or vital offices dedicated to sustaining the Commands strategic trajectory and operational efficiency.

LTC ERAÑO M VILLAMEL (OS) PA formally relinquished his duties as the outgoing C, GSMO to COL JOSE RAMER F MEGIO SR GSC (OS) PA who assumed as the incoming Chief. COL MEGIO also delivered the remarks and introduction of the presiding Officer during the program.

Meanwhile, LTC JIMMY P GUINANOY GSC (OS) PA passed the torch of leadership to LTC JOSEPHINE G MARTINEZ GSC (QMS) PA who now takes the helm of the assistant Chief of Staff for Plans, G5.

Following the formal reading of the relief and designation orders, LTC EFREN A BANGAYAN GSC (QMS) PA officially assumed his role as the Assistant Chief of Staff for Education and Training, G8.
