The Philippine Information Agency was created by virtue of Executive Order 100 dated December 24, 1986. It is tasked to establish and maintain regional and provincial information centers to identify community needs for use in planning and providing communication programs and services; plan and implement information programs of national scope; and provide assistance to government agencies through capability-building and consultancy services. It primarily serves the Presidency, the Executive Branch and Local Government Units with the ultimate goal of empowering the Filipino people.

In his post, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. talked about the need for reliable, affordable and cleaner energy as the economy of the country grows.

"During my visit to the 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗡𝘂𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗲, we explored opportunities for cooperation in nuclear science, research and safety as we study nuclear power as a possible long-term energy source for the Philippines.

Our goal is to secure an energy future where Filipino families and businesses have access to sufficient, affordable and dependable electricity, with safety remaining our highest priority," the President added.

𝐏𝐀𝐍𝐎𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐍: Target buksan ng Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) sa publiko bago matapos ang taon ang halos siyam na taong nakatiwangwang na San Agustin Bridge sa Arayat, Pampanga upang makatulong sa pagpapaluwag ng trapiko para sa mga motoristang bumibiyahe sa Arayat at mga karatig-probinsiya.

Mariing ipinag-utos ni Public Works Secretary Vince Dizon na bilisan ang konstruksyon ng tulay, kasunod ng direktiba ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. na tapusin lahat ng nakatenggang proyekto ng DPWH at tiyaking mapapakinabangan ng publiko ang mga imprastrakturang pinondohan ng buwis ng mamamayan.

LOOK: ART LUZON: Across Regions 2026, featuring the works of artists, crochet makers, weavers and exhibitors from all over Luzon is now open to the public at the Bulwagang KanLahi, Diwa ng Tarlac.

The opening gala was led by Governor Christian Tell Yap and wife Melissa Yeung-Yap, Vice Governor Estelita Aquino, Tarlac City Mayor Susan Yap, San Manuel Mayor Donya Tesoro, Board Member Pearl Pacada and Sta. Ignacia Vice Mayor Ponce Candelario.

About 400 artists, 800 crotchet makers and weavers, and 14 exhibitors participate in the art fair which runs from October 10-18.

𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐍𝐀𝐍: Ipatatawag ni DPWH Secretary Vince Dizon ang kinatawan ng kontratista sa itinayong riverbank protection structure sa Barangay San Mateo, Arayat, Pampanga kasunod ng utos ng Pangulo na magsagawa ng joint investigation kasama ang provincial at municipal government matapos itong gumuho noong October 2.

Planong alamin ng ahensiya kung nasunod ang tamang sukat ng sheet piles batay sa plano ng proyekto at panagutin ang mga sangkot kung mapatutunayang may anomalya sa pagpapatupad nito na nagdulot ng matinding pangamba sa mga residente.

TINGNAN: Patuloy ang DSWD Field Office 3 sa pamamahagi ng suporta sa ilalim ng UPLIFT Disaster Assistance or Emergency Cash Transfer (ECT) Program kahapon, October 9, 2026, sa Mexico Motorpool, Mexico, Pampanga.

Nakapaghatid ang ahensiya ng kabuuang ₱3,947,400 na tulong pampinansyal para sa 731 benepisyaryong mula sa mga bayan ng Arayat, Mexico, Sta. Ana, Candaba at San Luis. Ang bawat isa sa kanila ay nakatanggap ng ₱5,400.

Layunin ng ECT ng DSWD FO 3 na magsilbing mabilis na sandigan ng mga mamamayan upang tulungan silang muling makatayo mula sa sakuna at bumuo ng mas matatag na komunidad.

SECURING ACCESS TO QUALITY HOUSING. The Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) and Pag-IBIG Fund have signed a Memorandum of Agreement to work together on housing and other development projects in BCDA properties.

BCDA President and Chief Executive Officer Joshua Bingcang and Pag-IBIG Fund Chief Executive Officer Marilene Acosta signed the agreement, with Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development Secretary and Pag-IBIG Fund Board Chairperson Jose Ramon Aliling signing as witness.

The agreement initially covers approximately 14 hectares in New Clark City, with Camp John Hay, Morong Discovery Park, and the Poro Point Freeport Zone identified as possible sites for future projects.

The collaboration supports the Marcos administration’s Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino (4PH) Program by helping expand access to quality and affordable housing for Filipino families.

TINGNAN: May kabuuang 1,155 indibidwal ang tumanggap ng tulong mula sa DSWD Field Office 3 sa ilalim ng UPLIFT Disaster Assistance o Emergency Cash Transfer (ECT) Program sa isinagawang payout ngayong araw, October 9, 2026, sa Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center sa Lungsod ng San Fernando, Pampanga.

Bawat benepisyaryo ay pinalad na makatanggap ng tulong-pinansyal na nagkakahalaga ng ₱5,400.

Kasabay nito, naglagay din ng Help Desk ang DSWD FO 3 upang agad na matugunan ang mga katanungan, maiayos ang mga usapin sa beripikasyon ng mga kinakailangang dokumento, at mabilis na makaalalay sa mga benepisyaryong nangangailangan ng karagdagang tulong tulad ng mga senior citizen, PWD, at buntis. Sa pamamagitan nito, nasisiguro ang isang maayos, ligtas, at mabilis na proseso ng pamamahagi para sa lahat.

𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐍𝐀𝐍: Pinaiimbestigahan ni Public Works Secretary Vince Dizon ang gumuhong river bank protection structure sa Brgy. San Mateo, Arayat, Pampanga na bumigay dalawang taon pa lamang mula nang maitayo at maaaring magdulot ng panganib sa mga kabahayan sa paligid ng Pampanga River.

Ipapatawag ng Kalihim ang mga kinatawan ng kontratista ng proyekto para sa joint investigation kasama ang provincial at local government ng Pampanga, kasunod ng utos ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. na panagutin ang contractor kung mapatunayang hindi nasunod ang sukat ng sheet piles sa plano ng proyekto.
