The Land Transportation Office β Negros Island Region (LTO-NIR) headed by πΆπ°πͺ πΉπππππππ π«πππππππ π΄π. π±πππ π«. πͺππππ, has issued a show-cause order to the operator of a modernized jeepney that went viral on social media for allegedly overloading passengers outside Panaad Park and Stadium in Brgy. Alijis, Bacolod City.
The incident, recorded on 27 January 2026, shows a jeepney on the Alijis-Central Market route exceeding its authorized passenger capacity. The video also captures a heated exchange between the conductor and a concerned passenger, raising questions on passenger safety and courtesy.
