The Municipality of Tapaz, together with DILG Tapaz Field Office, spearheaded the conduct of Serbisyo Caravan on August 25, 2023, at Don Leopoldo Gialogo Integrated School, Barangay Gebio-An, Tapaz Capiz. The nearby barangays of Garcia, Malitbog, San Miguel Ilaya, San Miguel Ilawod, Roosevelt, and Taft also benefitted the said Serbisyo Caravan.
The Serbisyo Caravan aims to effectively deliver basic government services to the residents of the said barangays, especially of Brgy Gebio-an, considering Gebio-anโs case of absence of barangay and SK officials due to the mass resignation of the said Officials last January 10, 2022. Likewise, as one of the target barangays for 2023 RCSP.
Almost 700 residents of the said barangays availed of the services offered by the participating local and national agencies: DILG Region VI, DILG Capiz, 602nd Coy, RMFB6, 2nd Capiz PMFC, Tapaz MPS, BFP Tapaz, 12IB, Philippine Army, DENR CENRO, SSS, University of Perpetual Help- Pueblo De Panay, MHO, MSWDO, MENRO, MAO, MCR, Municipal Assessor's Office, and Municipal Treasurer's Office.
The Municipal Health Office of Tapaz, together with PNP, Philippine Army, Luz L. Abordaje, DMD, Katrina Angela E. Say, D.M.D and University Of Perpetual Help- Pueblo De Panay spearheaded the Medical and Dental Mission, Bloodletting Activity, Operation Tuli and Libreng Gupit.
On the other hand, DILG Capiz provided supplies to the temporary tanods of the barangay such as ballcaps, flashlights, uniforms, tumblers, water heater, biscuits, and coffee. The DENR CENRO distributed also 1500 fruit-bearing trees to households. Tapaz Municipal Police Station distributed school supplies to Grade 1 students, had free ukay-ukay, and disseminated an online police clearance process.
Among other services rendered were assistance from SSS about SSS online services; registration and validation of senior citizens, PWDs, and solo parents, youth profiling of OSY of the MSWDO; assistance from Municipal Agriculture's Office on anti-rabies vaccination, animal health consultation, rice/corn technical assistance, RSBSA/PCA/PCIC Registration; assistance from Municipal Civil Registrar on registration of birth certificates, PSA authentication of birth certificate, death certificate, and marriage certificate; assistance form Municipal Assessor's Office on the assessment of undeclared title or without tax declaration; and information dissemination from MENRO, MTO on programs on Solid Waste Management, Business Tax, and Real Property Tax.
