Anchored on the Civil Service Commission Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (PRAISE) under MC No. 1, s. 2001 and DepEd Order No. 9, s. 2002, and guided by the Department’s quality policy of continuous improvement, Tanauan City Integrated High School (TCIHS) gives form to Gawad Cityhenyo as a living testament to excellence in public service. More than an award, it stands as an institutional reminder that excellence is our culture, and quality is our commitment, virtues that every Cityhenyo is called to embody in both duty and character. On November 29, 2025, at Santos Events Place and Resort, the 3rd Gawad Cityhenyo ceremony unfolded as a moment of collective affirmation, supported by Regional Memorandum No. 108, s. 2024 for DepEd CALABARZON Gawad Patnugot and harmonized with the Division Memorandum for PUGAY TANAW. In that shared space, individual efforts converged into a wider narrative of service, affirming that excellence is not a singular achievement but a sustained practice shaped by integrity, discipline, and purpose.
