𝐆𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐚 𝙂𝘼𝙇𝙄𝙉𝙂 𝙉𝙂 𝘿𝙄𝙇𝙂 𝘽𝙁𝙋-𝙉𝙄𝙍 𝐔𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬| BFP NIR SUCCESSFULLY HOLDS INTERFACING WITH DILG USEC MABILOG IN DUMAGUETE CITY

The Bureau of Fire Protection – Negros Island Region (BFP-NIR), under the servanthood of Acting Regional Director FSSUPT GERRY G BERTE, DSC, successfully conducted an Interfacing with Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Undersecretary for Public Safety HON. JED PATRICK E. MABILOG at 8:00 A.M. on September 7, 2026, at the Hotel Essencia Function Hall, Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental.

The activity gathered more than 80 BFP Officers and personnel from the provinces of Negros Occidental, Negros Oriental, and Siquijor, demonstrating the full-force commitment of BFP-NIR to align its operations with the national government’s public safety thrust.

Also present to show inter-agency solidarity were JCSUPT BRENDAN O FULGENCIO, Regional Director of BJMP-NIR, Dir. Farah Diba G. Gentuya, DILG Provincial Director of Negros Oriental, and Dir. Jeck D. Conlu, Regional Director of LTO-NIR.

Both agencies, the BJMP and the BFP, presented their accomplishments. The BFP-NIR highlighted their achievements, operational statistics including number of fire incidents, status and deployment of fire trucks, rescue operations, and personnel strength.
More than a presentation, the interfacing served as a vital platform to ensure that all BFP-NIR operations remain fully aligned with the overall public safety agenda of the national government. It provided an opportunity to directly engage the regional offices, clarify and validate issues on the ground, assess actions already undertaken by the Bureau, and formulate appropriate measures and recommendations to address pressing concerns.

During the open forum, Provincial, City and Municipal Fire Marshals candidly raised operational challenges, including the insufficient number of fire trucks, municipalities with no fire stations, allocation of funds for the construction of fire stations, budgetary requirements for the proposed Regional Office and Training Center in Mabinay, Negros Oriental, and the proposal to establish a BFP-NIR Veterans’ Hospital for uniformed personnel.
In his message, USEC Mabilog emphasized the 6 Pillars of Service - Patriotism, Integrity, Professionalism, Knowledge, Accountability, and Fear of God - as the moral compass that should guide every public servant.

USEC Mabilog assured that all concerns raised will be elevated to the DILG Central Office for appropriate action, reaffirming the Department’s commitment to support BFP-NIR’s capability enhancement and welfare.

The successful interfacing concluded with renewed commitment and stronger coordination among DILG-attached agencies, bolstering BFP-NIR’s resolve to deliver a more responsive, professional, and people-centered fire protection service across the Negros Island Region.

𝐆𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐚 𝙂𝘼𝙇𝙄𝙉𝙂 𝙉𝙂 𝘿𝙄𝙇𝙂 𝘽𝙁𝙋-𝙉𝙄𝙍 𝐔𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 | Under the servanthood of 𝗙𝗦𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 𝗚𝗘𝗥𝗥𝗬 𝗚 𝗕𝗘𝗥𝗧𝗘, the DILG BFP-NIR conducted its Flag Raising Ceremony, bringing together personnel and 123 newly qualified BFP recruits in a meaningful display of unity, discipline, patriotism, and commitment to public service.

The participation of the new recruits added significance to the ceremony as they proudly joined the DILG BFP-NIR family in honoring the Philippine flag and embracing the values of service, dedication, and responsibility. Their presence marks the beginning of a new chapter as future firefighters and frontliners dedicated to protecting lives, properties, and communities.

Despite the ongoing preparations and conduct of the Interfacing with DILG Undersecretary for Public Safety HON. JED PATRICK E. MABILOG on September 7, 2026, personnel of the Bureau of Fire Protection – Negros Island Region (BFP-NIR), under the servanthood of Acting Regional Director FSSUPT GERRY G BERTE, DSC, ensured that tradition, discipline, and unity remain steadfast.

A Traditional Monday Flag Raising Ceremony was successfully held at the Dumaguete City Fire Station, Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental, marking a historic milestone as the first-ever flag-raising ceremony attended by all Fire Marshals of the DILG BFP-NIR.

The ceremony brought together BFP Officers and personnel from the three provinces of the Negros Island Region—Negros Occidental, Negros Oriental, and Siquijor—in a meaningful display of solidarity, patriotism, and commitment to public service.

This historic gathering highlights the strengthened unity and shared commitment of the BFP-NIR leadership and its field offices as they uphold the traditions of the organization.

Even amid high-level engagements, region-wide programs, and strategic dialogues, the core values of patriotism, discipline, unity, and public service remain at the heart of BFP-NIR operations.

GRAND FIRE SQUARE ROADSHOW SANG BFP-NIR, PATIGAYUNON SA REHIYON SA SETYEMBRE 11

​Ang nasambit nga programa ang pamaagi sang interactive, educational, kag informative activity nga gindisenyo para sa mga estudyante sa elementary kag high school.

'Simultaneous' nga hiwaton ang aktibidad sa mga strategic locations sa rehiyon.
