𝙒𝘼𝙇𝘼𝙉𝙂 𝙋𝘼𝙎𝙊𝙆, Safety First, Talisay

MAYOR WENG LIZARES, in coordination with the Talisay City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO), has ordered the suspension of face-to-face classes on Friday, July 10, 2026, in all levels, both in public and private schools throughout the City of Talisay, Negros Occidental, Negros Island Region.

This measure is implemented to ensure the safety of students, teachers, and school personnel following the issuance of a Heavy Rainfall Outlook by DOST–PAGASA, which indicates localized flooding is possible mainly in areas that are urbanized, low lying or near rivers and landslide possible in highly susceptible areas brought by the enhanced southwest monsoon due to Super Typhoon Inday.

All are advised to remain vigilant, monitor official announcements, and avoid unnecessary travel. The City Government of Talisay continues to closely monitor the situation and will provide further updates as needed.

Every child deserves the opportunity to learn, dream, and grow. Through Project KAYA, we were blessed to share not only school supplies and lessons, but also hope, encouragement, and genuine care with the learners of Sitio Balogo.

This would not have been possible without the initiative of Sangguniang Kabataan - Barangay Concepcion, Talisay City, 6115,SK President Kurt Treyes, JCI Talisay 6115 , Mayor Atty.
