First of the 3-day workshop attended by participants from different schools and tourism establishments, providing a valuable platform for learning, collaboration and creative growth. The training was facilitated by esteemed industry professionals and directors, Mr. Leo Martinez, Mr. Mel Bacani, and Mr. Ricky Orellana.

Change the negativity in social media into positive through this advocacy. The workshop aimed to empower participants with the knowledge, skills and tools needed to produce compelling audiovisual content that highlights the positive stories, best practices, unique attractions and cultural treasures of our municipality. Through visual storytelling and creative expression, participants learned how to effectively showcase the good and beautiful things that we are proud of.

𝓕𝓵𝓸𝓻𝓮𝓼 𝓭𝓮 𝓜𝓪𝔂𝓸 2026 💐

A celebration of faith, culture and community, Flores de Mayo is a cherished month-long religious and cultural Filipino tradition dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Today, Flores de Mayo continues to bring people together, showcasing the rich cultural heritage, devotion and timeless traditions that make our communities unique.

This year, we were able to bring back the traditional “sundo” where the Hermano Mayor with the year’s Reyna de las Flores were escorted by the marching band from the house going to the church.

Sundo is more than a simple act of accompaniment, besides creating a more festive vibe in the community, it highlights Filipino values of respect, hospitality and strong family ties. It remains to be a meaningful part of the Flores de Mayo which continues to reflect the spirit of faith, unity and cultural heritage.

Experience the beauty of faith and culture in Talisay, where tradition blooms and history lives on.

The Municipality of Talisay successfully underwent an assessment and validation on Tourism, Culture, Technolgy and Innovation, highlighting the LGU’s strong operational readiness and commitment to responsive governance.

The assessment recognized Talisay’s active initiatives in tourism governance, cultural heritage preservation and digital transformation. The Provincial Government also acknowledged the Municipality’s continuous efforts in technology and innovation, reflecting Talisay’s gradual advancement toward digital governance and improved public service delivery.

The Municipality of Talisay remains committed to preserving its cultural identity, enhancing tourism development and embracing innovation for efficient and transparent governance.

PCG Coordination Meeting

A coordination meeting was conducted with the Philippine Coast Guard Talisay Sub-Office personnel and the Municipal Tourism Office to discuss matters concerning Coast Guard boat registration and other related concerns affecting local maritime operations and safety.

The meeting provided clearer guidance for boat operators and owners regarding the proper registration process, required documents and compliance with maritime safety standards set by the Philippine Coast Guard. It also served as an opportunity to further explain the rules and regulations being implemented by both the PCG and the Tourism Office, particularly those related to the safe operation of tourist and transport boats.

Students from National University – Lipa recently conducted an interview as part of their ongoing study on a Tourism Policy Development Plan. This initiative aims to gather reliable, data-driven insights that can guide local tourism planning and decision-making, while also giving students the opportunity to engage in meaningful, real-world research beyond the classroom.

Through this activity, the students were able to gain a deeper understanding of the municipality’s tourism programs, challenges, and opportunities, as well as the importance of collaboration between academic institutions and local government units.
