1st Liga ng mga Barangay Regular Session:
January 16, 2026

Today, the Liga ng mga Barangay of the City of Talisay convened for its 1st Regular Session, focusing on critical grassroots issues and inter-agency collaboration.

Highlights of the Meeting:

Waste Management Solutions by PPP: The council held an extensive discussion on addressing recurring issues with garbage and improving collection efficiency across all barangays presented by City Wolid Waste Management Mr. Alan Rodriguez.

Social Welfare Updates: We were joined by CSWDO Officer Ms. Coleen Enajada, who addressed various DSWD concerns. This ensured that our barangay captains are well-informed on the latest social service protocols to better assist their constituents.

Enforcing BARKADA: In line with the city's cleanliness drive, a representative from the DILG (on behalf of DILG Officer Ms. Rhojelou Patac) discussed the strict enforcement of Barangay Kalinisan Day (BARKADA). This program empowers each barangay to take a lead role in maintaining environmental order.

By working together, our barangay leaders continue to bridge the gap between policy and community action.

RE- OPENING OF PADEL COURT IN THE CITY OF TALISAY.

As we celebrate our 25th Charter Day, we are thrilled to announce the Re-opening of the Talisay City Padel Courts! Being the home of the country’s first-ever public padel facility, we continue to lead the way in providing world-class recreation for every Talisaynon.

Thank you, Mayor Samsam Gullas and Senator Pia Cayetano, for making Talisay a pioneer in Philippine sports!

Commemorating the 25th Charter Day Anniversary of the City of Talisay

Under the theme "Stronger at Silver," the City of Talisay officially opened its Charter Day festivities. The celebration commenced with a Commemorative Mass, seeking continued divine guidance for our local leaders and citizens.

A highlight of the morning was the Raising of the Barangay Flags, symbolizing the solidarity and collective strength of our local government units. As we celebrate 25 years of cityhood, we honor our history and reaffirm our commitment to a progressive and vibrant Talisay.

11TH ABC MONTHLY REGULAR SESSION
December 12, 2025

Our session today was highly productive and reinforced critical inter-agency cooperation within the City of Talisay!

We were honored to be graced by the presence of our new City of Talisay Police Station Officer in Charge, Police Lieutenant Colonel Homobuno R. Sayon. He took the time to introduce himself and personally meet and greet all the Barangay Captains, ensuring a seamless working relationship in maintaining peace and order.

Additionally, we received an important update from our City of Talisay COMELEC Election Officer, Atty. Richleigh Consulta. Atty. Consulta provided essential information regarding the upcoming satellite registration schedule, which will be conveniently held across all barangays. This initiative aims to ensure every Talisaynon is registered and ready to exercise their right to vote.
