Warm hospitality and meaningful connections marked the Welcome Dinner hosted by the LGU of Talisay City led by Mayor Rowena Lopez Lizares through the City Economic Development and Investment Promotions Office, in celebration of the 35th Visayas Area Business Conference.

As part of the city’s investment promotion initiatives, Mayor Lizares presented the economic profile of Talisay City, highlighting its growth potential, strategic developments, and opportunities for business and investments.

The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry - Talisay NIR, signaling the vibrant and dynamic business environment in the city and strengthening collaboration between the local government and the business sector.

The evening gathered business leaders, chamber representatives, government partners, and delegates from across the Visayas in a spirit of collaboration, friendship, and shared commitment toward inclusive regional growth and stronger economic partnerships.

Update on Windmill Project in Talisay City
The City Government of Talisay, under the leadership of City Mayor Atty. Rowena “Weng” Lizares, reaffirmed its commitment to sustainable development as it welcomed representatives from Triconti for an update on the proposed windmill project in Negros Occidental.
On behalf of the Mayor, Local Economic Development and Investment Promotions Officer (LEDIPO) and Assistant City Administrator Mr. Ismael Penado formally received the Triconti delegation. The meeting served as a venue to discuss the latest developments and progress of the renewable energy initiative, with Talisay City identified as one of the potential host locations for windmill installations.
Triconti Director Theo Sunico, together with Market and Compliance Manager Samantha Solinap, presented key updates on the project, highlighting its potential contribution to clean energy generation, local economic growth, and environmental sustainability.
Also present during the meeting were Assistant LEDIPO Jonah Javier and Executive Secretary Kaila Agarrado, underscoring the City Government’s unified support for initiatives that promote innovation and green investments.
The City Government of Talisay continues to position itself as a forward-looking and investment-ready locality, open to partnerships that advance its vision of becoming a green, smart, and sustainable city for future generations.
