๐ง๐ฎ๐น๐ถ๐๐ฎ๐ ๐๐ถ๐๐ ๐ท๐ผ๐ถ๐ป๐ ๐๐ป๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ป๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐ฎ๐น ๐๐ผ๐ฎ๐๐๐ฎ๐น ๐๐น๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ป๐๐ฝ
Last September 20, 2025, the International Coastal Cleanup (ICC) was celebrated in the City of Talisay with the help of organizing the activities in the coastal barangays of Tangke, San Roque, Cansojong, Poblacion, Dumlog, Biasong, and Pooc. The project was spearheaded by the Environmental and Solid Waste Management (ESWM) Office. The initiative resulted in the removal of 14,326 kilos of waste in the coastal areas of the city.
The participants included the City Mayor, City Vice Mayor, and the City Council members with the company of the Mayorโs Office, City Administrator, City Planning and Development Coordinator, Budget Office, General Services Office, Local Youth Development Office (LYDO), and DRRM.
The government agencies that were present in the cleanup included the AFP, BFP, PNP, BJMP, and BOF. They had the companionship of the barangay officials, Talisay City College, SK Federation, Urban Poor Federation (FETCUDA), Pagtambayayong Foundation, Philippine Coast Guard, BHW, BDRRMC, and Bantay Dagat. Other volunteers were those of the Ministry of Lectors and Cantors of Sto. Niรฑo from Barangay Mohon, Pooc Elementary School, G-Box Employees, FISICA, J810 & Development Corporation, LECTORS, ERPAT, Association of E-bike Drivers, Solo Parent Association, KALIPI, and Cognizant Call Center.
The ICC this year highlighted the spirit of bayanihan among the Talisaynons as city officials, government agencies, organizations, and volunteers collaborated to conserve the marine resources of the city as well as enhance a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable future. ๐ฑโป๏ธ๐
